The hotel is not new but spotlessly clean. Rooms are large and there is conveniently a dressing to store the clothes and luggage. All rooms have a nice terrace and are disseminated in little bungalows in a forest of pine. There is a pool and a private beach with fantasticly clear water. The beach bar offers a variety of simple but delicious meals and nothing is more relaxing than watching the sunset there sipping a glas of wine. I do not understand people who complain about some insignificant details : of course this is not a 5* palace and you should not expect a fancy bathroom and a 1 mile buffet for breakfast BUT rooms are large, you walk one minute and you jump in crystal clear waters, wi-fi works very well everywhere on the property ( rooms, beach, beach bar and restaurant), staff is nice and helpful, breakfast is more than enough and all that for a extremely reasonable price ! It was my first time at he Moondy bay , I stayed there more than a week and I enjoyed it very much !

We stayed in this hotel for one night in July with a group of friends, the Location is a great one, as it lies between Aegina Town and Perdika, you cannot walk to either of them but with a car it would be perfect!

Booking and check in process took less than 5 min which is great, the rooms were very clean but extremely old. I doubt they have renewed one thing since the 70s, its obvious. If the management put in a little more effort to refurbish the rooms and the toilets, i would happily pay double what i have paid to stay there given it location, size, pool, view from the room, etc.

The Toilets are clean but old, the size is also considered big for the toilet but everything is as old as the room, specialy the ugly shower curtain.

One more thing worth mentioning is that the water in the showers has an ugly smell and taste :( This was the reason we didnt try the food in the hotel, so cannot help you there.

This hotel is situated ideally for views and ambiance. It has established landscaping and is on the water. The swimming pool is a standard saltwater pool. Not everything may work properly and this requires notifying the front desk. They were quick to replace light bulbs but there were other problems: ants, a "screen" (perforated metal, actually) door that doesn't lock and a mysteriously flashing light on the A/C about the filter. The air didn't smell stale from it, though, so it must've been ok. A ceiling fan (which doesn’t seem to have been heard of in Europe) would have been nice. The wi-fi was weak, but the hotel isn't oriented toward business travelers.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view. It's a little more expensive but worth it.

The hotel (although it is old) is situated in a very good location with a beautiful view to the bay of Aeginitissa, the beach is good and the rooms are cheap. It is suitable for families and it is near to port of aegina.

With a little effort from hotel management could be perfect. I cannot accept the fact that they cannot replace old towels. Their towels must be at least 10 years old!! The bathroom also, very very old, could be from decade of 60!
About the tennis court , the base line was the end of playing area!! no space to play behind base line or side line, it was dangerous. I wouldn't say anything if the tennis court was free but they cannot rent a tennis court like that!!!
The toilet bowl in our room was stuffy!
It is really disappointing from the hotel management having such a nice location, a quiet place in a pine forest and a private beach, not giving anything for basic hotel services , like new & clean towels, eggs in the breakfast and a bathroom you can use without being disgusted!!

The location is the biggest advantage of this hotel. Absolutely amazing beautiful. Bungalows are placed between trees and gardens with small paths guiding to the beach. But the hotel facility along with the management is the biggest joke I ever seen. The hotel is built in the 70’s and from then nothing has been changed. No renovations no restorations. You can see the senescence in every little inch on the walls, the doors, the rooms. The tennis court in the entrance speaks by its self for the whole picture, it’s abandoned and looks like a part of a ghost town where the residents disappeared mysteriously before decades. The Rooms are cheap, smelling like public toilets and looking also like public toilets. Full of those cheap white tiles commonly used in public toilets. The Air-condition is old and noisy without a remote control and when you get the headache from the noise and decide that you prefer to die from the heat instead from the noise you have to climb on the wall in order to close the device, since the control panel is in the highest possible place of the wall. The TV’s are small 14” old technology. Fridge is OK at least you can drink some cold water, if you buy it, since there is no mini bar. There is also no closet. There are a few hangers behind a curtain where you suppose to hang your clothes. No beach towels provided and there are everywhere signs that you are not allowed to take the room towels to the beach. Room Towels which are worst than sandpaper.
The beach is beautiful but full of dead seaweeds and cigarette butts. Owner doesn’t seem to care for this condition. Pool is with sea water witch is an advantage, but beach and pool doesn’t have enough sun beds or even chairs for all tenants.
The Beach Bar is in front of the sea under a nice shed and even the food is good for a Greek taverna standard but there the service is more than a joke. It’s a self service BAR and the queue is enormous big at lunch time. They never know what dishes are available and which not. You order the dish X, you pay and then they realize that they run out of dish X. So you have to wait again at the queue for the refund and pay for something else to eat, hoping that it will not also have been run out this time. They don’t have enough change and withholding me 2 Euros saying that they will deduct it from my future consumptions, Real Amateurs! Tables and chairs are not enough for all tenants as strangers who just visit the hotel for swimming occupy also tables for a snack. There is nothing around for 3-4 km, so even for a bottle of water you have to wait the queue. When you make the mistake and try to charge your bill to the room you will have to wait at least 10 minutes since the IT infrastructure must be from the Stone Age. It was difficult for me even to recognize the device at the cashier as a computer. They should call the Beach Bar “Inconveniences BAR”. Always there goes something wrong there.
And the cherry on top is the amazing breakfast. If you even can call this hoax as a breakfast. Fatty ham in bad condition, cheese like soap, marmalade full of sugar, a cake bought at the nearby discount food market full of chemicals in order to make it look like a cake, a black broth disguised as coffee, something looking like corn flakes and honey out of a dispenser almost impossible to take a whole portion. (Very clever to control the consumption.) The only thing worth at the breakfast is the place where the breakfast is served and its view.
In general I would say that this place is only about its location. Facilities, people and service are a disgrace for tourism.
