Where to start? Entrance is through a pool hall lit by video games. The whole building stinks of cigarettes and beer. Our minimally furnished room was on the third floor; of course there was no lift or help with luggage. Quality of the hotel is more like a Motel 3 than a Motel 6: grimy carpets, battered plywood 1950s furniture, no services.
The only ventilation in our room was one small window, so we had to choose between air and privacy. The bathroom lacked a shower curtain, plug for the basin, and hair dryer. Wires stuck out from the plaster. The overhead light was so dim as to be useless, and the only other lights were small angle lamps over the twin beds.
Unless you are an extremely heavy sleeper, stay somewhere else; trains screech to a stop directly across the street at 5-minute intervals, and heavy trucks load and unload at unpredictable hours.

Room tip: Choose a different hotel.

The rooms lack all kind of fire safety equipment like smoke alarms and fire extinguishers. Avoid at all cost. Additionally the shower does not have any kind of drape and the rooms have a generally shabby standard.

We had hoped for a cozy small country hotel "kro" in this small town outside Roskilde.
But it was just a cheap and worn place. We had dinner and it was nothing spectacular, but ok. I had a Swedish sausage stew, that was nice and my loved one had the recommended fish dish which was also ok.
Room was clean but worn. The pillows was of an almost nonexistent size. The bed was a coming apart type, to singles that doesn't want to be together. :)

The Hotel is rather disappointing. The room we had was VERY simple, although the beds were very good. We had been given an upgraded room (we did not know until we paid), the other rooms must be even worse. Bath-room did not have any shielding / curtain for the shower so it all got very wet. Dinner is OK as long as you want to eat meat, fish looks- and tastes very pre-fab. Beer is great. Breakfast is also very simple (but OK-ish). We are not sure how it is law in Denmark but Smoking is allowed in the bar-area of the Hotel. Smoking is prohibited in the room but there were ash-trays.....

About an hour from Copenhagen. But Copenhagen hotels do seem to get booked up & to be even more expensive. Old basic - like going back in time. Convenient as in right next to Viby railway station. Room was a good size though with a good sized shower room. Ah yes that is indeed woodchip paper painted with a shiny paint. Managed to fix the roller blinds in my room so they now work so light can be better excluded to facilitate sleep. 10:50 pm another train whizzes buy. 22:54 other guests moving around & conversing. 22:57 another 5 seconds of train. 22:58 shouts. All audible but mercifully of short duration. Wifi works intermittently. Really annoying. Parking no problem. Just round the back of the property. TV flat screen. Are you nostalgic for the days when there were only 5 TV channels. Ah sweet memories –plus CNN in sound only. A few minor repairs needed. Like the holder for the shower head & a screw for the towel holder. Also looks like some amateur wiring has been done. Isn' this enough already? 1,590 Danish Kroner/240 $/£157/€213/232 CHF for shabby hostel standard accommodation. You have to be kidding!

Room tip: Nice view of the railway station - suitable for the deaf
