“Fantastic cottage with bags of character in a wonderful location”
Reviewed 1 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Had a brilliant time in Wales - this is the perfect place if you are after a romatic getaway! The cottage is really well equiped, got bags of character and offers a massive amount of walking opportunities from the door step or a short drive away. It is a great location for exploring this part of Prembrokeshire. We particularly like Newport as a small town but there a lots of places to explore and things to do!

“A delightfully presented, comfortable Haven of peace, with really helpful owners.”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 for a stay in June 2013

The Old Pottery is sited at the end of a lane on the edge of the Preseli Hills. It is equipped with everything we need, and then some! Nothing is too much trouble to the owners who live nearby. On arrival there were fresh flowers on the table, logs in the basket and the woodburner loaded and ready to light. There are shops and garage etc at nearby Crymych and also Restaurants,Pubs, beaches, coastal walks -all within easy reach. Our(already booked) visit this year(2014) is our fourth visit, which says how much we like it.

“Christmas in Crymych”

The Old Pottery is like something out of a fairy tale and the perfect place to spend Christmas, once we had slowly driven up the country track we arrived at the most beautiful property. The kitchen window is enough to take your breath away but once you have unpacked and got inside you realise how lucky you are to be staying in such a place. The kitchen comes with everything you could possibly need including the centre piece of a log burning stove. The living room is cute and cosy and the bed .... the quality of the bed makes it hard to get up as all you want to do is stay in bed. The bathroom is excellent with the shower been hot and powerful (just what you need after a country walk). If you are at The Old Pottery after the clocks have gone back make sure you are outside at 5pm when the fairy lights around the property turn on and it looks like an elegant christmas tree. The property comes full of recommendations of walks and places to eat from both Matt & Babs (owners) and past guests. I would recommend staying at The Old Pottery at any time of year as it is the perfect place to relax, wind down and spend quality time with the one's you love.

Management Response
28 Aug 2012
It's been a really bad year for slugs, they have eaten our whole kitchen garden! We have installed a copper door step at The Old Pottery and that has worked at keeping them out. No more slugs in the kitchen have been reported.
