“A lovely stay in a very comfortable lodge”
Reviewed 11 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed in the lodge for 3 nights (2 adults and ou 10 month old baby) and enjoyed our stay very much. Julie and David are very welcoming and encouraged us to wander around to admire the lovely farm animals (much to our baby's pleasure). Alongside the fantastic welcome we received, the lodge is very well equipped and very comfortable and the fireplace adds a great romantic and cosy side to the living room. The surrounding countryside is very beautiful and the farm is ideally placed for visiting the coast (Dinas Head, Penbryn, Aberporth...) and other points of interest (Newcastle Emlyn, Cenarth, Cilgerran, Cardigan, Carmarthen...).
Hope that Julie and David decide to continue to also provided a BnB in the farmhouse. Wonderful dinner with them, extremely comfortable bedroom and homemade sausages for breakfast !).
All in all a brilliant holiday

“Brilliant - highly recommended”
Reviewed 23 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We have just come to the end of a lovely 4 night stay at Brynmeini Lodge, which is a real gem. We booked it on the strength of the Trip Advisor reviews and photos, but frankly the photos don't really do it justice.
The lodge is spacious and comfortable and set in its own private garden on the edge of the farm (so private that there is no need to shut the blinds in the evening, expect to avoid being woken up by early morning sunshine). Julie and David are friendly and welcoming and keen to do what they can to make your stay enjoyable and special.
The kitchen is well equipped with all the gear you might expect and need, plus extras like kitchen roll, spare bin bags, tea, coffee, sugar, proper salt and pepper grinders... We arrived to find bread, milk, butter, fresh eggs from the farm, and wine in the fridge. And since we had booked a supermarket grocery delivery for our first evening, there was really no need to bring any bits and pieces at all.
The lounge has a lovely wood burning stove (with plenty of extra wood available in the barn up at the farm) which we lit for fun rather than necessity - it very quickly warmed up the whole lodge. Electric heaters are also available should they be needed in colder weather.
There is no mobile phone signal at the lodge but there is a patchy signal in the farmyard (100m up from the lodge) but Julie and David explained that their office phone was at our disposal and their home phone too should we need it at any time.
However, despite the lack of mobile reception there is WiFi in the lodge, which was a welcome surprise.
Despite not being advertised as being suitable for children, we checked with Julie before booking, and our 2 young children (infant school aged) really enjoyed it here. You just need to be aware that the pond is deep, so although it is securely fenced off, it is a potential hazard should someone crash through the flexible wire fencing. And that the lake at the bottom of the garden is fenced off with electric fencing. So, this probably is not suitable as a base for toddlers or young children. However our children thoroughly enjoyed exploring and playing in the garden (which is very well kept and nice and clean) and also helped out with feeding the animals (sheep, goats, alpacas and chickens) on our first afternoon. Julie had also provided child sized robes for them which they thoroughly enjoyed!
All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this as a rather special holiday destination for couples of any age, families, and any other small group. I would certainly like to come back!

“Stunning cabin”
Reviewed 3 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The pictures on the website do the cabin and grounds no justice, they are truly Gorgeous!
A lovely welcome with essential things like bread, eggs and milk.
A stunning working farm run by David and Julie, who were happy to help with questions and recommendations on local places to visit.
They even dog sat for us when we went sea Fishing for a day. We travelled with 2 small dogs who were truly welcome, they even got a dog chew each! And a teenage son.
The cabin is set in the farm grounds but still secluded and private, in view of there lake with a variety of gorgeous ducks and fowl. Close to towns, beaches, gorgeous coast lines and plenty of Welsh pubs.
