“Fantastic Lodge”

We have recently returned from a 6 night stay at the Lodge for a second year running. What can i say apart from its absolutely beautiful which is why we went again and are planning our holiday here again next year.
The Lodge is stunning, its clean, tidy, well looked after and modern still with that cabin feeling you want. The garden area and lake is wonderful. We spent every evening with a glass of wine watching the ducks and geese. Wether you want to laze around the cabin all day or go out and enjoy the countryside and local beaches, this is definately the place to book. If you do go to the beach i recommend Newport which has lovely walks and a beach and theres a little village with a great pub (the castle) and a few shops for essentials which is about 20 mins in the car. We spent most of our time at the Lodge, drinking, eating enjoying the peace and quiet and all of this in the sunshine!!!
When we arrived the Lodge was spotless and to welcome us we had fresh milk, eggs, bread, butter, tea, coffee, sugar etc and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge!!
The farm itself is a great place to explore and to see all the animals, and theres plenty of land to go on a nice walk. We also bought lamb, bacon, sausages and eggs from the farm and i must say the lamb is the best ive ate and you cant get much local than it being on your doorstep. Julie and David are a lovely couple who always made us feel welcome and at home, they always stopped to chat and their about all the time if you ever need them, all in all we had a fantastic time and we cant wait to go again next year!!!

“Outstandingly Beautiful!”
Reviewed 26 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the lodge and already thinking about when we can return next year. We pre planned 4 night stay but on arrival it was so stunning that we asked julie if we could stay an extra night, as we didnt want to leave really! (And was luckily available she agreed. Loved it and really peacefull and relaxing.
Beds are amazing, best nights sleep we have had in ages, we arrived to find our own dressing gowns, wine, fresh farm eggs and milk, tea, coffee, Music playing on iPod, varender doors open sun shining and geese and ducks for entertainment! Just what we needed coming from the hectic city life...Was fantastic to say the least...for any age group...
It was more than we expected, the lodge is directly over looking the lake and pond with a massive aray of geese, ducks and baby geese too. The morning cockerals also seen from the lodge make it feel like a full farm lodge experience. Breakfast and evening dinners on the varender with the surrounding wildlife was gorgeous and made the holiday very special, one to remember for sure, as the grounds, views and lodge are outstanding.
We could not think of a better place to stay. We went to new quay one day which was great to go on dolphin boat trip, about an hr drive and again gorgeous scenic route. The rest of our days were spent at the farm / lodge as too breathtaking and entertaining wildlife to leave...
The owners were very approachable and i met the family dogs for a walk in the next field and cant wait to meet the new puppy next year - as 100% booking again!
Julie and David are extremly friendly and welcoming hosts and allowed us to explore their grounds to see the goats, pigs, sheep and lamas. The whole location is outstanding and i would 110% recommend this lodge for anyone who is after a tranqel, well priced stunning break in wales. Cant wait to book again! If you book this lodge you will not be disappointed...

“Wonderful”
Reviewed 9 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

What can I say, myself and two friends stayed here for the May bank holiday for 3 nights, fabulous location, definitely 4* all the way, Julie was most helpful and kind. I have recommended this to friends who would like to stay in September 2015.

“What a beautiful place”
Reviewed 7 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Even before we arrived I had no doubts that I wouldn't find anything to complain about and I was right! Julie was extremely helpful prior and during our stay. We were greeted by David & Julie who were both extremely friendly and helpful. The lodge exceeded our expectations, it was bright and modern inside, complete with all the mod cons including two TVs/wifi which is great for rainy days. It was a nice touch to receive a good quality bottle of wine, along with milk/tea bags and not forgetting at least a dozen fresh eggs from their chickens. It was so peaceful and secluded I didn't want to go home. We only stayed for a short break so didn't see much of the area which was a shame. Considering the lodge accepts dogs it was very clean and didn't smell 'doggy'. There were toilet rolls and toiletries as well as all the usual things you need for the kitchen which was really appreciated. Bedding was great, home from home if you enjoy goose feather duvets/pillows and nice fluffy expensive quality towels. Nothing was too much trouble and Julie responded straight away with any requests I had and David even showed us round the farm to feed the animals. My kids are teenagers but if you had young children they would love it! The garden was very child friendly, plenty of room to kick a ball and the decking outside was great to sit and enjoy the view of the lake and all the birds. Julie and David trust you to take care of the lodge which I think most people would and there was no huge list of rules and regulations which I usually see when in self catering in the UK.

“Wow, wow, wow! Outstanding Lake Lodge in the country.”

If you want to get back to nature in the most beautiful, well maintained lodge with a stunning view, love peace and quiet, and don't mind being off the grid, this is the place to be.
From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome. Julie greeted us with new puppy, Boo, in arms, and we were smitten......and then we arrived to our private, little oasis, in the wilderness!
An abundance of little extras made this so special. Fresh farm eggs, wine and all the basics, really did make settling in so easy. The lodge had heaters, which warmed through on brisk, fresh May mornings. The log fire burner, with freshly chopped wood was so, so gorgeous of an evening.everything there is solid and well thought through.
But for us, the scenery surrounding the Lodge really made us fall in love with Brynmeini Lodge. Well kept, and loved rare breeds of birds, kept us extremely entertained. These included Canadian geese, nesting white geese, unusual varieties of birds. Apart from the FA Cup final on Saturday tea time, we actually didn't watch the TV, preferring to wrap up warm and sit on the veranda with a glass of wine, until late in the evening, and then sit looking out through the windows to see if the geese were still nesting, late at night. A trickling brook was very soothing, and we loved the every day noises you'd expect from a working farm, maw hitch were a real soundtrack.
The farm is exclusively off the beaten track, with excellent directions from Julie before we arrived. We visited Fishguard, Newport Sands, Dinas Head, Haverfordwest and, by accident, Cym-yr-Eglwys which was another real treat, and will definitely be revisited. All within approx. 30 minutes of the lodge. A local Spar and Nisan are easily accessible in the next town up (Crymych)- ten minutes up the road. Also a good little chippy there gave a welcome tea one night.
Great wifi connection kept us in the loop, but we wouldn't have minded if we didn't, because we really were enjoying the remoteness. We were allowed to roam the farm and felt that what Julie and David have at their farm is really well reared and loved farm animals (the piglets were cute and alpaca's were fabulous!)
Have already booked to go back....thanks so much for a place we really have fallen for!

“"So Fabulous"”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Myself and my two teenagers stayed here last week for a few days. It is wonderful, tranquil, scenic, just wish we had stayed for longer. Julie and her husband are wonderful hosts, so friendly and helpful. My children even said they wished we had just stayed on the farm and not stayed at the caravan park that we had been to previously. The animals are great and the baby lambs so cute. We will come back to this wonderful place again, this time I will bring my husband so he can enjoy some first class welsh hospitality.

“A beautiful lodge”
Reviewed 30 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Lovely location and the lodge is stunning. Every comfort is taken care of with little extras such as wine and fresh eggs on your arrival. Julie is so welcoming and the children loved exploring and watching life on a working farm. Weather was very windy but we explored the beaches and they were so impressive in the wild weather. Wish we could have stayed longer.
