We stayed at the Loch Tummel Hotel as part of a Lochs & Glens package coach trip (Castles and Gardens) , this is our second trip with this company and it won't be or last.

The hotel is in a wonderful setting on the edge of the Loch, it is very comfortable and clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Don't expect a'La carte service in the dinning room, it's caters to the package coach parties (Loch's and Glens Company own all the hotels) it is more table d'hôte, there are usually a selction of 3 Starters, 3 Mains and 3 Sweets + Vegetarian options.

The wine list is not extensive but passable.

The country side around Loch Tummel is beautiful and varied, and if you are on one of the coach trips, the drivers are a mine of information on the local history and wildlife.

Room Tip: Try and get a loch view, book early.

This hotel is without a doubt one of the best of the best we have ever stayed at in Scotland. All the staff are magic and very helpful, and the coach drivers of L&G are so knowledgeable and make the tours so interesting. The laugh of the day is when the coach gets towards the end of the Tummel Motorway and a local gets so annoyed that he sticks his one finger up. Keep up the good work all the staff.

A late booking on a self drive basis to a "Lochs & Glens" resort. We have stayed at 5 of their resorts now, and I would rate this one as one of their best. For just £105 we had 4 nights BBEM. The bar was very reasonably priced, and the dinner wine affordable (about £12 a bottle). Both breakfast and dinner were enjoyable, and well presented. One drawback is that you are confined to the hotel, because the nearest hostel/inn is some mile away. However the evening entertainment was quite good. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The only criticism I had was that the bath towels were too small, but they were changed every day. All in all a good deal.
PS 300 miles each way.

Great hotel in a beautiful setting surrounded by the Loch and countryside and mountains. Spotless large room well equipped and comfortable beds, clean towels daily and tea/coffee facilities. Tv with good set of programs. Breakfast was excellent and enough to keep you going most of the day, not buffet like most places these days. Evening meal was starter, main and sweet with a choice of each followed by tea/coffee in the lounge afterwards. Evening entertainment was there nightly. Staff were well trained and there to help. Can not think of a negative to this hotel. Went with Lochs and Glens......well done!

Room Tip: have a room at the front as it faces the Loch.

This was our third holiday with Lochs and Glens, having previously stayed at Loch Awe and Fort William. Our first two holidays were wonderful and our stay in Loch Tummel was every bit as good. The hotel is lovely and set in beautiful grounds with lovely views of Loch Tummel. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable - both my friend and I had booked single rooms but got very spacious double rooms with generous sized bathrooms. We could not fault anything - good food, good company, very interesting excursions ( we were on a Castle and Gardens tour)excellent staff and a wonderful coach driver in Morag. We have already booked to visit Loch Achray next year and are really hoping to get Morag as our driver again and to hear how her Highland cattle are faring

Room Tip: I don't think it matters which room you have as they were all comfortable and spacious. Our roo...

My wife and I stayed at the Loch Tummel Hotel for a 6 night break with Loch & Glens Holidays.
The bedroom we stayed in was very clean and well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The view from our bedroom was along the loch with stunning scenery. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and everything was well organized. The food was excellent with waiter service at breakfast and dinner with several choices of starters, main meals and sweets. If we had a choice we would have liked the meal times to have been earlier.
We had a variety of daily trips from the hotel of which the first and last 10 miles were on a very narrow and bendy road.
The bar prices were very reasonable at around £3.20 a pint. The nightly entertainment on average was pretty good.
Several ducks arrive daily on the lawns in front of the hotel and guests are supplied with corn to feed them.
This was our forth holiday with Loch and Glens and we have already booked again for next year.
