This was by far our favourite place throughout our holiday in Malaysia. We felt so relaxed and slept so well. Unlike the big resorts along the main beach, this property is small and peaceful and also very beautiful. The cabins/rooms are designed very well with huge comfy beds and great showers. The breakfast included in available all day so no pressure to get up if you want a lie in. Breakfast menu has a lot of choice and we were very happy with it. The coffee is exceptional and those who appreciate good coffee will know this.
The manager Azmil showed us around the property including all the room types. He was very helpful in recommending places to eat and visit and arranged a scooter to be brought to the property for us to hire.
It's a short walk to beach and bars but we preferred the quieter beaches at the top of the island.
We were very disappointed with our stay at Panji Panji and were please that we moved to another hotel.
The accommodation was reasonable but personally we preferred the other hotel that was on the beach.
During our stay at Panji Panji we walked to the beach each day where there is a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants
If you do stay here I would suggest upgrading your accommodation and make sure that you ask for a safe for your possessions
A small boutique development of quasi houses on stilts .
We had the upper level facing onto the quiet road to the front and overlooking vast acres of unspoilt land.
Total privacy from our deck terrace.
Our host manager was brilliant with ideas for restaurants and other ideas.
A short 6 minute walk to a great beach and about 10minutes to the high street full of shops and restaurants.
A supermarket which sells booze only 4 minutes away and your room has a fridge!
You could not think of of a nicer place to stay.
If you you want brass ,Glass and marble don’t go there.
It can only be described as rustico.but the rooms are beautiful and the beds so comfortable!
A total gem
Wish I was still there
Stayed for 3 nights for bf’s birthday. Loved it. after the madness of KL and George Town it was a total wind down. Relaxed and chilled (which for me reminded me of my lost youth backpacker days of SEA). Ten minutes from beach. Longer if you walk along the road. Pool which is large enough. Little cafe which served great food. Great selection. Rooms were comfy and spacious. Good WiFi. On the day we left we awoke to a band playing great songs, so had live music whilst we ate brunch in the shade. The star of the place is the general manager. He couldn’t do enough for us. He arranged a birthday meal on the beach at a nearby resort. Any question he had the answer to. My only critical point, which is not the fault of Panji Panji, is that it’s quite noisy with nature’s noises! We had some disturbed sleep with birds and insects. That’s what happens when you stay in this kind of place. It didn’t bother us too much but it may bother some really light sleepers.
We stayed in one of the new villas right by the pool. Very comfy and nice inside. Fan and aircon were very welcome.
Charming staff. Couldn't be happier to help out with everything. Helped with reservations and recommendations for activities and restaurants.
Would definitely go back.
We felt very welcomed here, treated as friends. Soft music played in the little bar, a nice cool sweet and sour drink served for us and then our bags taken to our beautiful room up the stairs before we were shown around in a friendly and generous way. We warmly recommend this place.
We have had 2 fantastic days at panji panji tropical wooden home, so lovely place with the most beautiful scenery, staff and the place are so quiet and relaxing.
the place is a hidden pearl, our best recommendations.
PS loved all day breakfast, so we could sleep long. :-)
