Odda Camping

The campsite is located by a beautiful lake. It's quite small so during the season I imagine it to be very crowded. The price was excelent: 100,- /night (a tent with 2 people). It's true that there are not enough bathrooms but they are clean and well-kept as the whole place is. The camp is up on a hill when you walk from the centre of Odda but there is a bus (if you feel tired after the Trolltunga hike:) We loved this place and its surroundigs too.

Extremely disrespectful owner.
We booked 2 rooms (1 in April and 1 in May 2014) for a stay mid June 2014.
The owner ended up calling us the day of the check in to let us know that BOTH our reservations from Booking.com were received late by the camping…
We had to ask for them to find us a back up solution as we were on our way. They found us rooms in at a hotel nearby (including in a dormitory for 3 of us / out of 5) and refused to pay for the extra charge. We had to negotiate 2 hours back and forth so that they take responsibility and accept to pay for additional costs at the hotel! Incredibly bad experience with that place. Beware!!!!

The view and the location of the campsite are great. It is also a good place to stay if you want to hike to Buerbreen glacier (well worth the effort!). The facilities however make you feel like you wound up in an eighties hostel. Instead of building more apartments, an extra shower would have been welcome. There is one nice and new built shower, but you have to keep your fingers onto the hot water button if glacial water is not your taste. A bit dissapointing. There are better camping facilities in the area.

The cabin is small but clean and comfortable, you can find everything necessary, the heating system, big table, beds and sofa for 4 persons at most, and you can even hear the water in the river just behind the window because it's very quiet. The kitchen is completely equipped and very helpful. Anna and her husband are very warm-hearted, when i lost my camera they did everything they can do trying to help me find it back. I'm sure they'll provide help to every traveller when necessary.

If you are in the area to be out all day exploring the fjords, glacier and fishing, hiking or skiing, then the cabins at Odda Camping will do the trick.

They are small, yes, very small, but you have everything you need. The kitchen is equipped with the basics, including a hot plate but note there is no oven.

Our cabin had bunk beds and a sofa - they sofa fit two people sleeping comfortably.

Unlike some reviewers, we had no problems staying here at all and will probably stay again in the Summer.

This is a well positioned campsite for visiting the Fjords around Odda.

The campsite is right next to a beautiful small lake and it's facilities include a toilet block, a kitchen - including hobbs, and a tiny shop which sells the absolute basics. For a wider variety of food and camping equipment there are several supermarkets and shops in the town (a short drive away).

If you do decide to stay at this campsite I would definitely recommend doing the walk to Trolltunga the path is extremely well marked and the views are spectacular.
