Had a lovely few days staying in the cottage with my daughter which had excellent facilities including beautifully equipped kitchen, tastefully decorated bedrooms and plenty of tea/coffee supplies etc for your personal use. Richard was a wonderful host and breakfast was impressive!

I recently stayed here during my walk of the Dales Way and loved that it felt like a real home and wasn't all "made over". I loved having a radio and books to read and I had a very comfortable & peaceful night's sleep followed by a delicious breakfast.

Great room and good bathroom. Welcomed and made to feel very at home. TV put straight on for us as we wanted to watch the Tour de France. Super breakfast and everyone eating together made for a really nice atmosphere. The lounge is a little dated but friendly people and good value for money.

We stayed here whilst doing the Dales Way, as a group of 7 people. Our rooms were in the holiday cottage adjacent to the main building (where you check in and have breakfast). The cottage was lovely, clean and spacious and perfect for our group size. Our host was execellent on our arrival and check in was swift and informative. Just what we needed after a hard's day walking! Our stay was very comfortable at Wharfe View, with a fantastic shower (hot and powerful) in the cottage bathroom, large kitchen area, spacious lounge with TV and large hall way (perfect when you have lots of luggage). The cottage was recently refurbished to a high standard and provided home from home comfort.

A major plus for Wharfe View is their excellent breakfast. Served at a farm house table (with all of the other guests) there is a wide range of options to meet everyone's requirements. There was an excellent range of fresh fruit juices, cereals, a lovely fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, all of which is topped off with a delicious home cooked full English breafast. I'm not an expert but the sausages, bacon and eggs tasted and appeared to be local produce sourced from local suppliers and this made for an enjoyable experience. The range of breads available for toast was also excellent with a good range of spreads supplied.

I would thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone wanting to stay in the Burnsall/Grassington area. It offers excellent value for money, a high standard of service and a friendly and welcoming host. We only stayed one night but I could have statyed there much longer.

I would add that one of our friend's stayed in a local pub on the same night and they were envious of our B&B and the tremendous value it offered, when prices tend to be much higher in the rest of the village.

Room Tip: If you are large group, the holiday cottage is a fantastic option. You have the freedom of your own...

We were 8 in all so there was overspill into the attached holiday cottage which was comfortable. We joined the others for breakfast in the main house. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit salad followed by a large platter of bacon, sausages, mushrooms etc alongside the best scrambled egg I have had in a long time. The host was welcoming and cheery. I can't speak for the rooms and facilities in the farmhouse itself but my friends seemed happy and positive even with the sharing of faciities. The village seemed pretty and it was a very short walk to The Red Lion Pub which serves excellent pub food

First night's stay on the Dales Way. My wife was very impressed when Richard carried her rucsac to the room. The entrance hall has a bench seat and space so you can take off your boots indoors and leave them Very comfortable room with a good shower, nice open fire in the lounge and a great breakfast. There are books everywhere and you are welcome to sit and read, we laughed to Terry Wogan's "janet and john". Hoping to visit again soon, this time on two wheels.

A warm welcome and nice clean room all in a beautiful setting in this Yorkshire village. Tea & coffee making facilities, ensuite shower & toilet, twin beds rather than a double and an ample supply of paperback books available. Lovely bowl of fresh fruit with breakfast plus juice, cereals, yogurt and a cooked breakfast comprising 2 rashers of bacon, 1 sausage, mushrooms, tomato, an egg and loads of toast. So no need for lunch that day. Our only issue was finding the place as the sign is only visible in one direction and impossible to see in the dark.
