We stayed at the Fell in October 06.
Arrive in daylight, it was very hard to find as it’s off a tiny country lane, but more than that you don’t get the stunning view till morning.
We were greeted and I liked the service, as I don’t like in your face places, where you are pestered, The staff were there if you needed them, but not obvious.
All the hotels in the UK we stay in, have to be doggie friendly and they made a fuss of Saffy, so I was pleased.
The bedroom was on the slightly small size, but it’s an old gentlemen’s club, most likely a residence before that, but they are clean and comfortable.
I really liked the food, it was very good and I thought the pricing was ok. Breakfast is fabulous, well worth sitting the conservatory and gazing out across the views.
It is discreet and pleasant, I would visit again
