“New year away”
Reviewed 1 January 2014 via mobile

Excellent very clean hotel. Lovely people. Exterior of building does need a lick of paint urgently and the sign on the roof that reads " OTEL" does not help the appeal of the business.

The breakfast was great and the shop is good. Our room was quiet and we all slept through including our dog on New Year's Eve !

I enjoyed my stay at The Lodge, it is like stepping back in time as it is very dated - however it is clean and surprisingly quiet, which was wonderful - as was the breakfast, the staff are all very nice and cannot do enough for you, definitely recommended.

My wife and I stayed here overnight on 17 October this year. We have stayed there many times over the years and as always, we were not disappointed. Very friendly staff, clean cosy rooms, and two of the most beautiful Boxer Dogs that we have ever seen. Breakfast was as always fabulous and very filling, and the whole experience was a joy. If you are travelling in that area and want great value for money, look no further than the Lodge at Leeming Bar. It is so handy for the A1 that it just seems the logical place to stop. They also have a great resturant with a superbe menu so no need to go trawling around for somewhere to have dinner, spoil yourself and 'eat in'. Well done to the Team at the Lodge at Leeming Bar, and thanks again.

Room Tip: No worries. Although the Lodge is in sight of the A1 the rooms reall are quiet and you are unaware o...

We stayed at the lodge as we needed a central location near to RAF Leeming. The room was clean and bright with very little outside noise. The breakfast choice was good and fresh. The staff were very friendly.I think that our stay was good value for money and the location is very handy for exploring the area with easy access onto the A1(M).

Stayed here for 2 nights on their package for the Wensleydale railway trip. Hotel was very friendly, food was brilliant but rooms, although clean, were very dated. Don't like carpet in the bathroom, have to say it was a bit 'smelly' in there!! The hamper was lovely, and the rail adventure was a pleasure!! Ate in the bar one night and that was very nice, good value for money. Overall a lovely place if they can just get the carpets changed in the bathrooms!

arriving at what appeared to be a very dated service station motel my expectations were low . However once inside I couldnt find issue with anything . The staff were helpful and willing , the room was good and the bed was very comfortable ( I think that we had a refurbished executive room )

The breakfast was good and the whole experience was very good value at £74 for two B+B

Will definetely stay here again
