“Couldn't have been made to felt more welcome!”
Reviewed 2 weeks ago for a stay in May 2018

This is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in and the owner Gary couldn't have been more helpful. Accomodation has been really nicely done and tastefully furnished, secure garage was great for the bikes! Gary had already provided a bottle of wine, a selection of local ales and breakfast for the first morning but when he found out we weren't going to arrive until late on our first night he then also provided salad, lasagne and garlic bread for our dinner - torch on the door handle was also a nice touch. Can't recommend this property highly enough, will definately be back - thank you!

“Home from home”
Reviewed 21 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Beautiful Cottage which has been tastefully refurbished. We all loved the feel of the place as soon as we walked in. Ideal location with lovely views. If not for work would have loved to have stayed another night. Gary and Jackie were very welcoming and the breakfast pack, wine and local beers were much appreciated. Best cottage we have stayed in and will definitely come again. Cannot recommend highly enough

“A lovely place to stay”
Reviewed 30 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

My friend and I really enjoyed staying in this lovely cottage. It was clean, spacious, well equipped and warm. We loved the underfloor heating in the kitchen and the fridge stocked with breakfast was a welcome touch. The owners have thought of everything needed for a relaxing stay. The cottage is well placed for things to visit; castles, the Arboretum and Kiplin House. The Greyhound Inn was 5 mins walk away and served great food, Bedales also had a choice of places to eat. Would definately recommend.

“Beautiful cottage in great location”
Reviewed 23 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We only stayed a couple of nights but were wishing it was longer! The cottage is absolutely lovely and in a fantastic location, close to the A1 and the market town of Bedale but right out in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales. We were pleasantly surprised to discover the ingredients for a full English breakfast when we arrived, what a lovely touch. The underfloor heating downstairs kept the cottage really cosy, we didn't even need the log burners. It is beautifully decorated and well equipped (had plenty of books and dvds to keep anyone happy even if they didn't set foot outside for a week). The local pub was also very welcoming and does good food within a very short walk.
