“Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014 via mobile

The walk down to the spout is well looked after with lots of stopping areas for those not as fit and truly worth it when you get to the bottom. Beautiful, really beautiful.

If you aren't fit though the journey back up can be challenging but with lots of places to stop makes it much easier.

Well worth the trek

“Great Food in the bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

We managed to get a table in the bar early evening on a busy Father's Day, sadly too late for the carvery Sunday Lunch, but the fish and chips were top notch. Relaxing place to spend an evening, with a very friendly barman who makes you feel welcome.

“really god food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

While staying in goathland we ate here every night really good food at reasonable prices highly recommend mallyan burger but don't eat lunch if you are having this for dinner as very large husband really struggled as we had lunch the day he had this and I think he rolled back to the hotel we were staying in .

“Breathtaking experience!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

We went with 2 toddlers and had good scenic walk, waterfall looked beautiful. It was like hidden treasure. Can't take buggy down there but definitely worth all the walk and efforts to go there. Have fallen in love with the place <3

“65th birthday treat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

Hotel is like stepping back a few years, but from the minute you arrive you are waited on hand and foot by very attentive very well mannered staff and all in same uniform, we stayed in room 11 (a junior suite) with beautiful views across valley, room large and well appointed, very modern bathroom with large bath and shower cubicle, good quality toiletries available and lovely towels, room had iron and ironing board, trouser press, large flat screen tv. We ate in on the first night in the bar, food was excellent, hot, well presented, large portions, we ate in the restaurant on the third evening of the ala carte menu, again good selection of starters, mains and desserts, breakfast in the morning has a first class col buffet table, with the staff taking your order for beverages hot brakfast and toast, my only dissapointment was that they could not accommodate us again in October, but thats my fault for not booking early enough, would I return, In a flash, well worth staying here.
p.s. lovely gardens to sit out in as well
