Stayed for two nights in this nice property. Good de-luxe room with four poster and sunken bath, good food though a tad old fashioned, but I liked it, and breakfast good also.

Very busy village with lots of tourists, be sure to visit the little pub in Beck Hole, about a mile away down the hill, the staff at Mallyan Sprout very friendly and the place is immaculate. I would go back in a heartbeat if in the area. You will always know the time as the church bell sounds every 15 mins, day and night !!

We stayed here for a wedding and I have never experienced better customer service. The location is also amazing and the foods pretty good too!

We booked by telephone and got the three nights for the price of two offer mentioned on the hotel web site. We know Goathland of old, so knew we were going to a very beautiful place, but had not stayed at The Mallyan Spout before. The hotel was perfect: we had a 'standard double' room, but the bed was a luxurious super-king size. We had a modern effective shower, the room size was adequate with a lovely view of the garden and fields beyond. The room was spotless and so peaceful. Great choice for breakfast: lots of fruit, usual English, smoked haddock, kippers. We enjoyed bar meals in the evenings. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our wet coats were taken to the boiler room for drying after a wet walk while we sat by the warm fire with coffee.

We are just back from our 6th stay at the Mallyan Spout Hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very efficent and friendly receptionist. Our room (room 4 ) was spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable and had a lovely view of the Church and moors.
The staff at the Mallyan are friendly and helpful and make their guests feel special.
The food is freshly cooked to a high standard. There are plenty of vegetarian options and the vegetarian breakfast is excellent.
Although we only arrived home yesterday, we are already planning our next vist.

Every single member of staff were polite, friendly and attentive to that of an age gone by.
The room was clean well equipt and above all full of charm and character.
Food has never been so good,"Eat your heart out Master Chef"
This was the occasion of our ruby wedding but we shall not be waiting another forty years to repeat this extrodinarily marvellous experience.

Thank you to all of you at the Mallyan Spout.

David and Elaine Gibson
