“Vincent Lodge B&B”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

Of all the B&Bs we saw in Selsey, this was the best for being closest to the sea and within easy walking distance to restaurants. The very pleasant and helpful sisters and hosts Annie and Jan provided a very fine breakfast with lovely muffins and a great range of hot and cold foods, fresh fruit and lovely muffins. The room was very tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable, light and spacious with a seaside feel to it, and had tasty homemade butter flapjacks and tea, hot chocolate and coffee-making facilities as well as there being a nice garden seating area outside the dining area. I'd highly recommend Vincent Lodge.

What a wonderful B&B to stay in. Made our trip from Perth, Australia just perfect. Selsey is a wonderful place .The young ladies that run it were so friendly and helpful. The place was spotless, comfortable beds, great breakfast. Easy to eat to much.
Thanks Jan and Annie, will see you next time for sure.
Take care P and J

The best b&b we have ever stayed in. The room was spotlessly clean with really comfortable beds and our own en-suite. There were luxury touches with an amazing selection of tea, coffee, fruit tea (London Fruit & Herb Company) and hot chocolate to choose from in the room. The complimentary homemade flapjacks were delicious. We also had our own flask of fresh milk in the kitchen annexe just off our room (none of that awful UHT stuff). There was also bottled water and glasses on the bedside cabinets which was another thoughtful touch. The breakfast choices are amazing and delicious. There were fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and melon fruit salad with a range of different breads, crumpets, muffins, croissants and homemade jams. Even smoked salmon and scrambled eggs as an alternative to the traditional English breakfast. Sausages and bacon are locally sourced and are absolutely delicious. We also had use of a separate patio and garden at the side with garden furniture. Selsey itself is well worth a visit - the seafront is unspoilt and Selsey itself is charming. We shall definitely be going back for many visits as we were made to feel so welcome.

Room Tip: Always check the reviews on Tripadvisor first as these are provided by the people who actually stay.

We are just home from another lovely weekend break at the Vincent Lodge and once again, we cannot fault it in any way. Selsey is a quiet little town and makes a lovely location for a break away from the rat race of life.

As before, the breakfasts were wonderful with such a choice on offer. The home made flapjacks on our hospitality tray were gorgeous!!

We WILL be back - you can count on it!

Room Tip: They only have the two rooms - one a double and the other a twin.

A great B&B, highly recommended. Right by the sea and within an easy walk to the shops and restaurants. Stayed in the double room, which was big enough to have two armchairs. Modern rooms and bathrooms, lovely bedlinen, home made flapjack on the tea tray...and the breakfast was lovely too: heaps of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts and cakes, plus wonderful creamy scrambled eggs (in my case). The rooms have their separate entrance which is good. Parking on site. Excellent.
