Very impressed with this hotel and was very plush throughout although severely hampered by its breakfast restaurant.

We had a long wait just to be seated, then another long wait for hot drinks, food was cold and rubbery and not replenished in good time.

Reminded me of fawlty towers, short staffed and a manager that didn't have a clue what he was doing.

All people around us were also complaining about the below standard breakfast service!!!!

Such a shame as I would have raved about how good this hotel was

Extremely poor quality bed. It was worn out. Springs were sticking out. My wife suffered back pain in the morning. In fact will not pass Health & Safety inspection. !!! Room service breakfast - mushrooms have cooked. Items on the try were not conversed with with metal lid or even a napkin. IT WAS COLD.

We usually book the Novotel at Birmingham airport pre early morning flights but on this occasion they were fully booked so tried here instead.
Situated a ten minute drive from the airport this hotel was situated in a quiet residential area.
Attractive looking building with outside seating areas.
Plenty of parking available - those with the park and fly package park at the back of the hotel after unloading luggage at reception.
Reception welcoming and efficient.
Our room was 311 on the ground floor which overlooked a quiet inner attractive courtyard.
Comfortable double bed.
Small seating area.
No fridge/mini bar.
Tea/coffee making facilities in room.
Clean.
Wifi.
Small bathroom with shower over bath.
Basic toiletries but no shower cap, which would have been welcome..
Large flat screen tv.
2 restaurants on site.
We ate at the Houston Grill and bar which was far more lively than the huge, rather soulless looking main restaurant.
Typical American style menu - food ok. Wine very good!
Service with a smile!
The taxi transfer organised by the hotel to the airport was excellent - punctual service in a very smart and clean car with professional helpful driver.
The return transfer was equally efficient.
The only negative was the room was unbearably hot which meant virtually no sleep.
No air con - a very small fan was provided in the room but was totally inadequate .
When I mentioned this to the morning receptionist, she was very apologetic and suggested if we book again, there are rooms with a/c available.
Given it is only May and the weather not that warm, I would have to be guaranteed of a/c before staying again.
Having said that this was the only negative .

Room Tip: Ask for a room with air con!

Stayed for a weekend conference. Only fault I could find was with disabled access and parking. Hard, tiring work for wheelchair users if you need to go upstairs for the function room. Otherwise disabled room with wet room is wonderful, food is great and staff friendly and helpful.

stayed over night before flying to dubai, flew out just before xmas and it was nice, hotel wasnt as twee as i was expecting , whilst not modern a bit more specialsit work needs to determine the look, hotel overlooks a residentaial housing area which you dont see from the web site, area is very affluent so no worries there.

nothing wrong all good, but particular to the bar/dining staff in the cheaper resturant they were really nice and friendly and yes we would return.

Room Tip: can feel a bit of a drag to rooms if flying out ask for ground floor.

We visited this hotel as part of a 'Wowcher' deal, this included Warwick Castle tickets, the room, evening meal and breakfast.

Room was lovely and clean, free Wi-Fi, TV, massive bathroom withshower/ bath, extra pillows, and a comfy bed.

Evening meal was in the pub style restaurant, service and food quality was very good.

Breakfast was a buffet style breakfast, again service and food was delicious.

Very nice hotel, we didn't stay in it long as we were at Warwick Castle most of the day but for the time we were there it was lovely.

Came here as a day delegate for a business conference. It is in a nice quiet village between Coventry and Birmingham, and easy to find and get to. Car parking is a bit limited but the road outside is not too busy so you can park out there.
Conference room was nicely prepared and laid out, and unusually has opening windows for real natural ventilation. Sweeties on the table were plentiful, and bottled water was available and replenished on demand.
Coffee was proper coffee and a nice selection of "home made" biscuits were provided on arrival and at breaks.
Staff seemed attentive, if a little sparse, and this was evidenced by the laying out of the buffet lunch - only 1 guy to bring out food for 50 people! Having said that he did a good job and I have to say that the food was about the best we have ever had, and the hot food was HOT! Top marks for that!
Overall a good conference venue, and having stayed at a Best Western PLUS rcently I have no doubt that the rooms were good.
