If you are in the area we fully recommend a visit, nice bit of history along with friendly staff and a nice cafe with good coffee and apple crumble. Most likely to return in the summer and see the grounds in all their glory.

As NT members we've visited this place a few times. The tickets are timed so the house is never so full you can't see anything, and for such a small house the history is fascinating. However like many NT properties the volunteer staff are it's biggest letdown. I know they give their time freely, and that must be applauded. However they also on the whole tend to be middle class retirees, which means often they only like interacting with their own contemporaries. Although some volunteers are very welcoming others make you feel (if your under 60) like you've intruded into their own personal property.
The cafe was generally clean and food good if a little pricy for what it is. However another NT gripe! Even though there are racks to put trays of used crocks on after you've finished, most visitors simply leave the tables looking like a war zone?
Having said all that Baddersley Clinton is a nice gem, and if you're a NT member Packward House is only round the corner and well worth a visit.

Have been to this wonderful house several times and every time have discovered something new. Its packed full of history with priest holes and connections to the catholic church and then later on as a fashionable victorian home. Its picturesque grounds with lakes and gardens make for a lovely walk.
It may be worth checking before you visit as to how much is open as it is undergoing a rewireing at the moment.

The restaurant has a good range of food and an appetising range of hot food. The National Trust standard of food in their restaurants is consistently excellent

Lovely to walk around following paths even though I am not a 'walker'. The grounds are very pretty when the spring flowers are out and the light and lovely old trees a great subjects for photos
