we went to the four horseshoes for our anniversary meal and had an amazing service and meal. the staff done everything to make us feel welcome and the food was amazing and really good size portions. the chocolate brownie was the best dessert I have ever had. really recommend this pub for the food and atmosphere.

My partner and I decided to try the four horseshoes but I have to say not the smartest choice for a romantic dinner. Place was very busy which was good but we found it too crowded and the tables too close together. Conversations on other tables were easy to here and vice versa. The food was good so no complaints there and we would go again with friends maybe.

Hi,
I would firstly like to thank you and your partner for choosing us as a venue and I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed your meal. We do have quite a few more intimate tables for those special occasions, and we're happy for you to request a favorite table or area - As many of our customers already do!
Kind regards,
Elliott Knight

This is a lovely venue - full of character and in a great location. Sadly I found the food to be very average and over-priced. (There were also lots of flies in the restaurant which is understandable in the height of summer, but added to the disappointment.)

Hi,
Thank you for appreciating the beauty of our 12th Century building, unfortunately we do get a few flies in the summer as we are surrounded by fields and meadows. In regards to the food, I'm very sorry you were disappointed, we do source our ingredients locally, which can reflect in the price. We are currently redesigning our menu which will start on the 22nd of May, we hope you will visit us again soon.
Kind regards,

Just back from a week exploring suffolk and South Norfolk and we had a fantastic lunch at The Four Horseshoes. It was just what we had hoped to find, a traditional olde worlde pub with a brilliant menu and lovely decor.
The staff were very friendly, efficient and polite and we couldn't fault a thing.
After our main course we were encouraged by Jai (our waiter who is doing his apprenticeship at the Four Horseshoes) to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding which he had made. It was incredible and if it is on the menu definitely worth having.
We would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

This is a gorgeous 12th century inn that deserves a visit just for the well in the middle of the pub but the food really lets down what would be a great place to eat - costly and really disappointing seems that the lure is the building so they are not so focused on getting in trade for their food as you would not eat or recommend this resturant and as a family of 7 no one at the table had a good comment from 7 different mains, starters and puds :(
