“Amazing place for car fans”

This is a truly amazing place, I've been going here for years and notice a few new cars each time, not to mention if you go at the right times they'll have extra exhibits open with more cars. I recommend going on an event day, as there is so much more to do. It's great on the normal days too though, you can see hundred upon hundred of beautiful cars of all kinds. Unique and strange cars, classic cars, classic sports cars, super cars, regular classics, race cars including F1 cars and far, far more. On an event day there is so much more to do, depending on the event day. Some days you'll be able to be raced around their track in a rally car, other days in a sports car (I once was raced around in a Lotus Elise which was a lot of fun!) there is almost always a selection of cars out front which you can pay to be raced in or driven around the roads in, the car depends on which one it is and what the price will be. I've been to multiple shows at Haynes too, and they never disappoint. Monster truck shows, classic car shows, and my favorite was when the stuntman for the original Italian job performed a stunt show, during which he broke the world record for parallel parking in a mini by doing a handbrake turn into the spot (the previous record had also been set by him). The first time I ever went they had an exotic sports car exhibit open and it was truly amazing, among others I saw a Jaguar XJ220, A Ferrari F40, a Mclaren F1 and so many more beautiful rare cars. Overall I can really recommend Haynes Motor Museum, but if you really want to get the best out of your experience, go on an event day and take some extra cash!

“If you are as car buff, this is a must see!”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Take a stroll through history from the first Mercedes made to current classics all presented in a very professional manner. There really is something for everyone from the kids track to motorcycle racers. Many of the British models were new to me as they never made it across the ocean to our part of the world and as such were a treat to view. I would have liked to spent more time here.
There is also a great gift/souvenir shop that offers all sorts of supporting information to take home.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a Canadian made Bricklin on display especially when it had a hometown Alberta license plate still on it. Nice touch, Haynes.
On a nit-picky note, the 1960 Cadillac info sheet shows a top speed of 88 mph...my personal experience will verify well over the 100 mark!
Plan to spend at least half a day here.

“Great place - not just for petrol heads”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

A very clean and tidy place with excellent facilities. The cars were spotless and there were plenty to see, old, new, cheap, expensive - there was something for everyone.
Went with three generations of family and it was lovely reminiscing about the cars we had once owned and those we wished we had.
Younger child played on the £1 a go simple go-karts, the older two went on the 'grown-up' go-karts which were £5 for 5 minutes. All thoroughly enjoyed them!
The food was good quality in the café, but rather expensive compared to other attractions we have visited. To improve café - put trays and menus at the entrance - we had to juggle the cold drinks as you don't get a tray until you get to the till. Likewise you can't see what food is on offer until you are nearly at the till.

“Wonderful”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

A truly tremendous collection of cars affording a wonderful trip down memory lane alongside views of America ( American Graffiti/Happy Days ) via its autos...all that chrome with Gershwin playing in the background-very atmospheric. In more serious vein museum is very wheelchair friendly which was most important given that one of our party was in a chair.

“Visited many times, the new improvements make it even better”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

We are fairly local to Haynes and have always enjoyed the museum, but the new improvements are excellent. There is much to do for children (we have a 4 and a 6 year old) including a re-vamped outside car themed play area that has a go kart track (and extra £1 per go) soft play bus and cinema bus as well as ride on cars and play structures. The museum itself is still set up in different halls, with a theme for each and is easily accessible with toilets and seating all over the museum. The cafe is clean and stylish with a range of hot and cold meals and snacks, cakes and drinks all at standard prices for this type of attraction (£4.50 for a children's meal deal), although we always take a picnic. Well worth a visit and great value if you gift aid and can return anytime throughout the year.
