“For boys of all ages”
Reviewed 22 June 2013

I very interested in aircraft, especially military and I have wanted to see the FAAM for a long time. I finally made it today and was not disappointed. It covers naval aviation from the very start and the early 'kites' are scary, as are the first attempts to land on a ship when the crew had to grab the aircraft as it landed since it had no brakes and the 'runway' was very short. I found the relative sizes of the various aircraft surprising in some cases with the helicopters particularly large. Don't miss the simulated carrier which is very well done.
I had low expectations for the food and they were realised.

“Great day out for all the family”
Reviewed 16 June 2013

Had a great day out here, had expected it to be more of a "man" thing, but really found it interesting, lots to see and do,highlight being the Concorde, and the Ark Royal Experience...
Restaurant nice and reasonable cost,as was the shop at the end of visit..plenty of free parking too
In all a very good day out, it says allow 4 hours, and we were there for that time, but could easily be there much longer....

“Brilliant Aviation Experience”
Reviewed 13 June 2013

Our recent visit was our second within a year and we will still go again as there is so much to see. The museum is spotlessly clean & well presented. There are planes from each decade which portray the history and development of aviation right up to the present day and featuring the role of aircraft in warfare around the globe. A highlight not to be missed is the Flight Deck Experience. After spending a couple of hours viewing the exhibits you can repair to the restaurant for a tasty meal or beverage at a reasonable price before wading back in to do some more plane spotting.

“Fantastic place to visit”
Reviewed 12 June 2013

Spent all day here what a great museum one of the best laid out museums for aircraft i have visited, all the halls have upstairs viewing platforms which is great for taking photos. The carrier experience is one not to miss (takes about 30-40mins) , the two indoor viewing gallery's on to the main base are great you can get a good view of aircraft landing or getting ready to take off . They have a good shop and restaurant, staff were polite and helpful ,large car park (no car park charge) and a picnic area, only thing i wish they could make is an outside viewing area for watching aircraft landing and taking off as the views from the car park are quite restricted.
