We went to go to dinner on Tuesday my birthday but it was closed! So we went on Wednesday we had to start the parfait and also the mackerel and salmon starter, both where great we all three had rib eye for main, if I had one criticism I would say my medium rare was more medium well, puddings where all delicious, second night food was as good. Service great on both nights

Wonderful warm welcome from Teresa and team. Comfortable and well spread out dining room, gorgeous conservatory and two bar areas. Choice of bar menu or restaurant so covers all bases and great selection. Home cooked food with a flair for taste and presentation, generous portions and very reasonably priced. Lovely service from young bar staff. Well trained and look happy in their job. Obviously a lot of regular customers which speaks for itself. Teresa presented our 104 yr old with a birthday cake and really made her day - and ours. Excellent establishment.

The Plough is lovely - in the middle of some very scenic countryside. The staff were excellent. Loved our room, dinner was very tasty and reasonably priced. Love the decor in the dining room. All public areas very attractive. Splendid breakfast....

Room Tip: Ours was a twin (1) - loved the décor. No (2) a double, was very attractive as well.

This must be one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The welcome was so warm and friendly, the staff all friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. A great Yorkshire breakfast to start of the day's walking and a really excellent dinner at night to finish the day off.

We returned yesterday from a wedding reception and a 1 night stay at The Plough and we were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived (earlier than planned) the owners we friendly and very accommodating. The room was lovely, clean and perfect for our needs (we had our 1 year old son with us). They did a great job with the reception, fantastic decoration, lovely food and very attentive. We would definitely recommend The Plough!

Spent a couple of days at the Plough as a couple and used as a bolt hole whilst taking walks around Malham. Excellent service through out with the staff very attentive. Evening meal was brilliant as was the morning breakfast. Excellent establishment and would have no hesitation in recommending to other would be visitors.

Room Tip: Room 2 is on the ground floor near the main car park so quite handy for heavy bags but is susceptabl...

We often travel on the road from Sawley to Settle cutting off a section of the busy A59 and meandering through the glorious Ribble Valley countryside to Yorkshire or up the A65 to Kirkby Lonsdale and The Lakes beyond. The Plough is a great stopping off point even if you just want a breath of fresh air and a fantastic pint of Landlord sitting on the benches at the front watching the world go by (mainly cyclists).
Will be back soon to sample the excellent food.
