We stayed at the Parsonage Hotel with my husband's family, his cousin was getting married. The hotel provided the reception and evening buffet for us and I must say that it was the best wedding food I have ever had. The food was excellent, the service was warm and friendly and the way the food was set out looked too good to eat - I didnt know whether to eat it or take a photo of it.....nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the surroundings made the wedding very special. They dont just cater for weddings though, you can enjoy a short break there as it has a lovely, clean spa and gymnasium which we used and various treatments you can indulge in. The pool was lovely too. They have 2 restaurants which cater for the more exquisite pallette and bar snacks. The rooms were also very clean and spacious, we had a room at the back of the hotel but we still had a lovely view of the fields and the hares playing first thing in the morning.....not something I usually see living in Stoke-on-Trent.
Just a 15 minute drive away is the city of York, which is a must. The history and heritage of York must be seen, as well as the shops and many places to eat.
We had a wonderful time and a great experience at this hotel and will definately go back at some point......
Go on, treat yourself......

Room Tip: All the rooms looked lovely, we had a peek in some of them. The views from the sides were better because you could see out into the gardens but our room at the back was just as appealing. Any room at this hotel would be lovely in my opinion.....

The Parsonage Hotel & Spa is amazing !

The receptionist Hannah was lovely, very helpful and nothing felt like it was too much trouble, then this is what I felt with all of the staff.

The food was excellent, breakfast was brill too - lots of choice and never ran low on anything. Tea,coffee and toast was constantly supplied too.

Our room as great, nice bed, clean and had a brilliant view. The grounds of this place are lovely.

The spa facilities were brilliant. Nice pool, hot tub and very nice relaxation rooms from the salt one to the aromatherapy one - heaven.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and would even stay here again.

Room Tip: All rooms are good

We met friends here for lunch. It was easy to find on the main road and plenty of parking. We arrived on a day when there was a conference but the staff were very attentive. The food was delicious and well cooked and the price was very reasonable. Afterwards we had coffee in a comfortable lounge.

On a family recommendation we chose this hotel for a three-night recovery break. It proved very quiet (despite being so close to the A19), comfortable and relaxing. The room was well-appointed, the grounds very attractive and the staff friendly and helpful. On one of the days we stayed and made full use of the spa (me swimming and sauna, and my wife having treatments) which definitely helped the relaxation. The restaurant was excellent, both for dinner and for a very good breakfast.
The public rooms are spacious and comfortable and it was particularly impressive that even during a major function, the residents were not significantly affected.
The hotel is well-situated in an attractive village, within easy reach of other attractions such as York and the East Coast....we chose a fascinating afternoon in Beverley.
The stay certainly met our expectations and requirements thanks!

Stayed with my mum for a girlie shopping treat using a discount voucher (Living Social ?). We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff who showed us to our pleasant and comfortable twin room, we had a small sunny terrace which was great for enjoying the early evening sunshine and fresh air. We ate in the restaurant where service and presentation was excellent, mum declared her steak the best ever ! breakfast was also of a good standard with great choice . All in all we thoroughly enoyed our trip and would certainly return the hotel is a lovely period property with a pleasant retreat air about it and yet a short drive to york and even closer to the outlet shopping .
