Me and my other half have stayed at this hotel a few times just to get a night away ;) Weve always found it to be a nice hotel, the pool is spot on, the reception and bar has recently had a refurb and apart from the pool table maybe needing replacing its generally a nice place for a drink and a relax. Rooms have plenty of space with comfy beds and bathroom with shower and a fairly decent sized bath. If anything rooms are a little dark and there isnt much of a view but they are throughly cleaned. All in all its a nice hotel, its not the ritz but then again its not the ritz price. Anyone travelling to a budget its ideal

Just returned from our weekend stay here. No complaints about staff, they were all great. Special mention for Brian on Reception who was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Swimming pool looked great although we didn't use it. Place was very clean. Only complaint was that meals could have been hotter. Would stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel as part of a coach tour over Easter weekend. The outside appearance is misleading as it is dated very 70s in design, On entering the reception area it is bright, clean and welcoming.
Our bedroom was a spacious family room with two double beds in, both with matching crisp, clean bedding and turned out to be very comfortable. The entire room and bathroom were immaculate, there were numerous fluffy towels and a few complimentary toiletries in situ. Plenty of storage space for two persons for a short stay.

The meals were all self service with staff constantly refilling all items as required. The breakfast was fine with plenty of choice of the cereals. juice and the standard English breakfast fare. The evening meal was adequate, though the soup was awful.
We never used the swimming pool but it looked OK and was being enjoyed by various age groups during our stay.

The staff were all friendly and helpful in every way, a true credit to the hotel.

The major complaint and downside was the extortionate bar prices, which consequently meant very few people were having a drink after dinner , surely if the prices were reduced to a realistic level the hotel would sell more and still make a profit.
Plus the Hotel is very isolated with nowhere to go for an after dinner stroll.

Found hotel easily enough, but the driveway to hotel is literally littered with rubbish, including a pile of tyres and old car parts. Outside looks like 70s secondary school.
Inside looks nice, the hotel allows dogs which was our main reason for booking, as we were on the way to Filey and wanted as stop off.
Room was spacious, accommodated us, three kids and dog well enough. Place looked clean and was well ordered.
Pool unattended and a bit run down, but as warm as a bath.
Good breakfast served by friendly staff, nice garden area when sun came out.
Walking dog was a bit of an experience, no bins on site made it tricky and the litter around off-putting.

Truly obnoxious and unhelpful staff on the Sunday morning. We agreed the night before to come down later for breakfast to help them out, but were then refused service, despite still being within the set times. Horrible place that gives Quality hotels a bad name. The place itself is a 1970's throwback, tatty outside and in need of a refurb inside, stuck in the middle of nowhere and the disabled parking was full of motorcycles. We could live with some of the faults but the awful staff ruined our stay, in particular the young girl in the restaurant and the geriatric porter who stood up to my girlfriend. We will definitely be complaining.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel two weeks ago while on a coach trip. The hotel is a little dated in terms of decor but comfortable. We had a couple of small problems in our room but the manager sorted them straight away. No vegetarian option for the evening meal but once again we only needed to ask and that was sorted. The food was very good and much enjoyed. The beds were very comfortable.
