A truly wonderful experience - very hands on, very well run, knowledgable, engaging and entertaining handlers. The very best of its kind, might be slight problem if raining or very windy as some birds not keen on flying then. This is not a zoo, it's far more personal and being able to interact with the most dangerous bird species on the planet is totally absorbing and an experience I shall never forget.

went with my daughter and had an excellent day. The enthusiasm of the staff was infectious and the hands on aspect of the visit excellent. My daughter enjoyed handling eagles , owls and taking part in the displays. I would urge anyone reading this to pay a visit you won't be disappointed and the money you pay for the entrance will help to support the attraction. My understanding is the staff are volunteers and I wish them many years of success with this venture.

Went with the family for a Hawk walk. Always wanted to get up close and personal with a bird of prey and was very pleased I chose this place.
Not sure how long this place had been open because the entrance through the cafe looked newly built and not a great selection of food and drink which was for my wife and daughter as they weren't accompanying my son and I on the walk.
There was a show on before the walk so we went to watch, the show it self was brilliant, and kids of all ages were getting involved with helping and meeting the different birds, all the staff are great and knowledgeable.
For the Hawk Walk there was about 6 of us which started in the car park, the handler explained all about our bird,a Harris Hawk, which took off into the trees and watched us continue to walk,my son was handed the glove first,(the look on his face made the trip there and then!) after a couple of whistles and the sight of a tiny chicken leg the bird swooped down onto his gloved hand.
We all had several goes flying the bird and the handler did a few tricks as well with it.
After about an hour and half it was back to the cafe and the we were free to roam around at the other birds and owls, there are lots of other things to do with the birds with half day or full days of hands on experience.
Fantastic place to spend the day, although it will be better when there's a bit more choice of snacks and drinks to keep non birdie people happy.

Both myself and partner went here on 21st of June for half day falconry experience. Got there around 12 to a warm and friendly welcome from the staff. Had coffee and cake (very reasonable) to start with. Went for walk around the aviaries before the show in the display arena. The display was fabulous and the interaction with birds and and all ages of visitors unbelievable. We then went on our falconry experience and our expert guide was Lee. We were taken around all the aviaries being able to handle Golden Eagle, various Owls, Falcons and Kites. On our journey around Lee used his unbelievable knowledge (&humour?) and passion for all of these birds to make this an unbelievable experience.
We did get this trip on groupon vouchers but would have been more than happy to pay full price. The guides are all volunteers and unpaid. A number of the birds are rescue birds but you can see how well they are taken care of.
We will certainly go back. Thanks for a fabulous day.
