I would recommend any one that is looking for comfort and a picturesque place to stay with plenty to do and look at.

Also a fab place to take our four legged friends who are very welcome, and you would never know they have been there, rooms and all area as clean and smelling nice as any 4 star hotel

A place I will be going back to.

After many hotel stays this one has to stand out, the hotel itself is in a most wonderful location, with a view to die for from the Huntsman bar and terrace, and the luxury bedrooms, across the lake and to the hills in the distance. The luxury bedrooms are fantastic with a balcony overlooking the lake, super king size beds, space and good quality fittings, the food is very good and varied, however the classic rooms are on the small side with small bathrooms but still well appointed, but the real STARS are the staff who in my experience are the happiest, friendliest, and most help[ful and efficent we have encountered. Apart from a small problem with the bill which was quickly rectified it was the perfect stay. The prices are perhaps a little high but there seems to be deals on offer most of the time.

Room Tip: Any of the luxury rooms overlooking the lake

All the staff were great and made us feel very welcome, the food was very good with a great atmosphere in both the restuarant and bars. The location is fantastic and a walk around the lake after a lovely breakfast was great

The room was smallish and we had to pay an extra £10 per bed for the children and these were squeezed in. Bed was very high and not that comfy. A bit dated considering the price. The service was good and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good- a wide range and quick service. The hotel is in beautiful surroundings.

Lovely setting, friendly staff, very spacious family room, adult bed comfy, children's beds average. Carpets looking tired. However, food excellent at the wedding, and breakfast the following day, with a good choice, and good quality food.
Drinks sadly were extortionate!

We invited our Friends to a Superior Afternoon Tea, to share our happiness.
The food and service were first class enjoyed by all.
I highly recommend the Coniston for all occasions. They are extremely professional and know how to welcome their guests.
We will certainly be back
