Called in for a meal and drink. Small bar area but managed to get a table. The food was good, although vegetable lasagne portion was quite small but padded out with garlic bread! and salad. Looked in the dining room and came out sharply as decor is ‘interesting’. Ha ha .

We arrived on a Sunday so it was roast for dinner - choice of lamb, beef or chicken. I chose lamb and my husband went for the beef. Both were very generous portions with the biggest Yorkshire puddings ever. Served with loads of veggies, potatoes, individual gravy and homemade horseradish and mint sauces. Hot and delicious and obviously made with love. Although we were completely full, we were tempted to share a sticky toffee pudding which was scrumptious. Our second evening was just as tasty. What a delicious little find this was.

This is a great pub serving excellent food with a very warm welcome. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The menu offered a great choice and it was all beautifully prepared.

Service was excellent and in particular, Jim, the manager couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. He brought drinks to us in the restaurant during the evening meal and also coffee in the morning when we decided we were too full to eat breakfast and would set off early.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.
