We had pre booked a table for 4 for Sunday lunch in October. We had been told that it gets booked up early as it is so good! Indeed while we were there they were turning people away because they were fully booked. The dining room is old fashioned in decor but matches the rest of this quaint country pub/hotel so don’t let that put you off.
We had an excellent roast beef lunch, piled high with roast potatoes and seasonable vegetables. The portions were a good size. Everything was cooked to perfection, the thinly sliced roast beef was pink in the middle, easy to cut and melted in the mouth.
I followed mine with home-made sticky toffee pudding with custard. Divine!!
We had no criticisms whatsoever. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Sunday lunch.
You can get a cheaper Sunday lunch elsewhere but I doubt that it will match the quality and quantity of this one.
