“Great staff!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

We stayed at the hotel from 26 till 28 July. Great location to visit Kent's attractions.

Chris at Reception and the young lovely barman who served us on Friday 26 July are the best assets of Hadlow Manor!

Thank you both for your friendliness, and being so helpful and lovely!

A group of us attended the "Abalicious" event last Saturday, we all had a fantastic time. The entertainment, meal and service were all excellent and very reasonably priced.

it was a lovely sunny evening and having the option to sit outside on the terrace over looking the beautiful grounds was a great bonus.

We shall definatley be coming back for future events, well done Hadlow Manor!! keep it up.

The hotel has extensive grounds, with plenty of parking. It was well placed for a stopover on the way from the North to Dover.
Our room was comfortable and clean, the décor a bit dated. There were some public areas that had been modernised, so perhaps in time the bedrooms may have a facelift. Our room was on the ground floor, and I would have been happier if the window had some mechanism to restrict opening when I left it open at night. Also, a grab rail in the shower would make old dodderers like me feel more secure.
We chose to eat in the restaurant rather that the bar. This may have surprised the staff --we were the only ones in there, and the young man who was working in the bar had to run in and out looking after us at the same time as dealing with a busy bar. Nevertheless, the food was good. The wine we requested wasn't available, and it was a good job that we didn't want desserts, because no-one came to ask us! This last is a minor point -- but they were obviously short staffed.
Staff however were friendly, and the room was good value.

I stayed here following the Abbalicious night and would like to recommend it as the room was lovely. It was enormous and tastefully decorated in the style befitting the age of the property.
It was a great pity that it was SOOO hot but apart from that I cannot fault . All the staff were lovely and friendly and the food very good. I would recommend a stay here if you are visiting Kent.

I had my 70th Birthday celebration meal at Hadlow Manor and it was truly memorable. There were 24 family and friends in my party and we all had such a lovely time. The food was good and the staff waiting on us were excellent; they were polite and smartly dressed and dealt with our every request. I would like to thank the Hotel Manager Lainne Jose and also Una for all their help in making this such a wonderful occasion.

Decent wifi signal and pleasant enough room with a good size television, though bathroom could do with a minor refurb; it was starting to look a little worn.
Slept well despite thin walls.
Excellent freshly cooked breakfast on offer, but they could do with serving at least one type of muesli (they had none).
The hotel should also have a small box of tissues in their rooms.

Room Tip: Try and get a room set back from the main road. They're both newer and quieter.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in room 101 which is a ground floor disabled accessible room. The room was a little "tired" in decor but was spacious and clean. The bathroom wasn't really suitable for someone permanently in a wheelchair as there is only a bath and no roll in shower. The rails around the toilet are short and don't lift up. There is an excellent disabled toilet fairly close to the room which does have suitable rails.
The staff are lovely - very helpful and friendly. All our requests were dealt with immediately and they were all very kind.
The bar is small and rather limited in its opening times. It also was closed on the Sunday night when we arrived back at 8.30pm but reopened for us - there were only ourselves and 1 other guest resident that night so it was quiet!
Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and a nice change from the dried out buffet style breakfasts in many hotels.
The gardens are nice and on a sunny day would be lovely to sit outside.
This hotel could be excellent with the rooms updated and more guests.

Room Tip: Room 101 is the disabled room but does not suit anyone who is completely wheelchair bound due to the...
