Booked this hotel through booking.com and cost me £24 for the night with continental breakfast thrown in which i thought was an excellent price to start with. I arrived thinking that although the price was exceptional this would be counterbalanced by a poor hotel... how wrong could i have been! The check in was efficient with friendly staff and when i opened the door to my room i was delighted to find a large room with a double and single bed. The room was spotless and remarkably clean and tidy and had a TV as well as the usual tea and coffee supplies!
Once i had checked in i went down to the bar area where again the staff were friendly and i managed to get a good pint with choice of what i wanted on the TV! After i had attended my xmas party at a local hotel i returned for a good night sleep in a comfortable bed. The continental breakfast was varied and had plenty of choice of cereal, fruit, teas and coffees with an optional cooked breakfast for £2 which i did not take the option due to being a bit fragile but the girl serving as again friendly with a smile on her face. The check out process was again very efficient and i left thinking that i had got excellent value for money and would definitely stay here again! Thank you

An overnight stay with a business meeting during the day during a cold December day and night. Staff were friendly and efficient enough but the heating system couldn't cope with -1 degree centigrade which made the stay very uncomfortable and with no extra blankets available to ward off the cold, quite miserable. The function room with glass to the floor was chilly, seperate electric heaters had been provided to make the room comfortable but it took a while to become acceptable.
Not enough coffee was provided for the number of participants during the business meeting although the buffet food was just about okay.
The fabric of the building is showing its age, being very drab and there doesn't seem to have been good maintainance in place, although most things worked.
It just about did the job required but it wasn't a rewarding experience.

Room Tip: Don't go there in the winter

I have been workinbg in Bristol, mon day to friday for a ferw weeks, so needed a budget Hotel close to the M5, an dthe Almondsbury seemed to offer the best compromise. Plus points about the Hotel is that there is ample free parking and very close to the M5, the rooms are a decent size and are usually clean, the breakfast is continental so corrflakes and toast, with juice, , but there are variants, complimentary Independant newspaper a cooked breakfast is an extra £2.00, but the continental breakfast is fine for me. There is a decent bar serving ok food to about 9.00 pm, and the staff are quite friendly, and able to help. The negative points are that the entire Hotel is a bit dated once you get past reception, the carpets need a good clean, and most of the interior dates back to the 70's!!. You will need to check prices as a single room can vary form £29.00 to about £45.00, I always booked a single room, but always got a double bed, which was good. Overall its a decent budget Hotel

We booked this hotel through laterooms for 29 GBP, plus 4 for breakfast and beforehand wondered what would be expecting us...but none of our fears came true. The check in staff was friendly, ok, the overall decor is a little old fashioned and would need a little makeover, but rooms were clean, warm and the size was ok for a night. We didn´t notice any noise at night, sleep was ok.

The breakfast room is without windows, which I personally don´t like, the waiters are a bit nervous and stressed due to the amount of people in there, but all in all the breakfast was alright. For 29 GBP you get yourself a good bargain in Bristol, just make sure you book through laterooms, rates in the hotel are more expensive. There is free wifi in the lounge and bar area.

We decided to stay here as it was very close to Cribbs Causeway and we stayed Friday so we could get there early for xmas shopping on Saturday. We only paid £29 plus £4 for upgrade breakfast. How anyone can moan is beyond me. The room was a little outdated but clean and warm and had everyting we needed for a comfortable night. It is on the main road but we slept well. The staff were nice and helpful. We had a lovely sirloin steak meal at a reasonable price. The drinks were quite expensive but you expect that in a hotel. Would definately stay again.
