“Fine for the price”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

We had a Saturday night at this hotel in June. It is fairly basic and dated but you get good value for money, it was £56 for two people with breakfast when even budget chains were at least £10 more.

You get car parking free. The rooms have old fashioned dark furniture but you get tea/coffee making facilities, an en suite (again old fashioned and a weak shower but all clean and nothing broken), comfy bed and TV with Freeview.

It was enormously hot overnight and we were woken at 6:30 by noisy neighbours but the room was fine for the price, too.

Breakfast is very basic, cereal, weak coffee, cheap sliced bread, only marmalade available but you would hardly expect the Ritz.

Certainly not the worst budget hotel I have stayed, not by a mile, I would use again quite happily. Nice friendly staff, too.

This hotel is a basic "you get what you pay for hotel". Adequate just about sums it up. One night is about all you will want to stay.Dont get me wrong, there are no horrors, but it is basic. We booked this hotel as a last minute need, if we needed to stay again we would, but we would know what to expect.

Room Tip: If you can afford a little more,go elsewhere

This is not a five star hotel, however, for the grand total of £32 including continental breakfast, I spent a very relaxing night in a clean, spacious and well appointed double room, with an extremely comfortable bed, soft pillows and crisp, clean bed linen. The bathroom was a good size, with the usual fitments, plus a spa-bath. The members of staff I met were all very friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to friends and family, and will without doubt stay there again next time I am in the area.

If you want a cheap bed in a handy location to the motorways you can't go too wrong.
This hotel lacks soul and is frankly very tired. But you get what you pay for..
And the cooked breakfast is straight out of the 1970s (a bit like the bathrooms) but for £2 how can you complain? Most places charge more for a single coffee!
The saddest part of the whole experience is having breakfast in a room with no windows.. Say it all really. But I slept well and managed to wash under a rather pathetic shower. Just.
My room was £25. Can't complain too much at that price.

Stayed for one night in a double room on a Friday for under £30, the price was excellent! Great location if you want to be close enough to motorway access, double bed was very comfy, rooms very dated but was fine for a one night stay, great value for money! Didn't have breakfast however it was included in the price. Staff very friendly, could have been cleaned better but would definitely stay again for a one night stay.

hmm.. the price probably says it all - the nearest Premier Inn was fully booked - £89 per night and as we were on a budget we went for the £54 at the Almondsbury Interchange. This is a great location off the M4 - so easy to find - but they could do so much more with the site! The old house near the car park is not a great advert and the car park itself is not good. Receptionist was friendly enough... got to the room but concerned that once we were in - was it was secure as the door locks did not seem to work and there were no instructions on how to lock the door. Also - there were no fire instructions so worried that if there was a fire then how would we know what do to - thought that was a basic requirement which should be posted on the inside of the door. The TV - as previous reviews have said - was 1980's style although it did work and I did get the channel I wanted! Bathroom basic although we got hot showers in the morning. Basic continental breakfast included in the price - juice, coffee/tea/cereals and toast. Probably wouldn't go there again.

I had to stay at the hotel as I was doing some business training in the area and this was the cheapest and closest place to where I needed to get.
I really don't know why the owners don't renovate the hotels it would be the best located place. From the moment I walked in the room I was just speechless. It felt like going back in time, the telly was ones of those huge old affairs but it did work. There are stains on the wall from who knows what, and the hotel stinks. The kettle had water with limescale floating in it and it was probably about 10 years old. The beds were terribly soft and uncomfortable. I had no telephone in the room so I couldn't ring reception to ask for a bar of soap as I got none in the bathroom!! They actual decor is absolutely terrible. The curtains and carpets are old, worn and completely outdated. The bathroom was just horrendous. It looked like an old movie, the toilet was dirty with stains inside and the shower I didn't actually bother with in the end! It would have taken about 40 minutes to wash your hair because the pressure was so bad! The shower was also broken and it was difficult to turn it on or off.
The fire door kept banging all night because it didn't fit the door frame. The window didn't shut properly so I had the heater on all night.
I could go on and on about the faults as I can't think of any positives. By far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, don't do it to yourself unless you are on an extreme budget. Saying that I don't think the room was worth £48..!
The staff were great, the receptionist was on the weight watchers website when she didn't realise anyone was around her, but she was friendly and sorted any problems promptly.
