Has been completely refurbed under new ownership only been open a couple of weeks my wife and I went for a meal last Sunday at 6pm we had a roast dinner which was very well cooked and served by friendly staff.
We had a couple of drinks each and finished with a pot of tea.
The total bill with a tip was £28 a lot cheaper than most eateries in Hornchurch and Upminster so we will be going back again soon

Having spent a nice evening in Henry's bar i was amazed how rude the staff were at the end of the evening.
We arrived to a warm welcome and the food was very good and it was great value for money, even the wine and drinks were not over priced.
We had everything, starters, mains, desert, coffees which was all good (apart from a few mistakes during service) BUT at the end of the evening having requested a taxi which was ordered by the staff, we were told to wait outside in the cold because "they wanted to go home" to say i was shocked is an understatment, this made a good night turn in to a dissapointing night.
I feel Henry's has lost some good customers with the poor attitude of certain staff........... such a shame as we would definatly have returned on business and pleasure as it is a nice place to eat!

Having visited Henrys a few times for lunch or just for a drink we decided to hold our Wedding Reception at Henrys on 23 June 2012. We cannot thank Henrys enough for all their hard work. We hired the marquee and had canapes, hog roast and dessert for 80 followed by an evening buffet for around 150. Everybody commented on how lovely the food was and how lovely Henrys and the grounds were. The service was brilliant and the staff were friendly! We read some of the reviews online before we booked our Reception and were slightly concerned but decided that we would see for ourselves. We were not let down and were genuinely impressed with everything! We had no complaints! We would definitely recommend Henrys for any occasion and urge anyone reading the bad reviews to give it another thought! Thank you Henrys!!

We went to a party held in the marquee. It was dirty and could really do with a good clean and updating.
It came as a package including the food and DJ. The menus on the website was not what was served on the night. They were supposed to have catered for 75 but it wouldn't have fed 50.
Drinks were £7 for a 2litre jug of cola or lemonade. (It was only the stuff from the pump) Squah was £4 per jug. Absolute day light robbery!!
There were artifical trees inside, all woven with fairy lights but none were on during the evening. There were also 2 square based pyramids either side of the door, these didn't work. Considering the cost of the venue they really should have.
All in all very disappointing for the price paid.

Stopped off for a lunch on the way shopping and the restaurant is situated in a lovely setting, duck pond, wild animals like ducks, geese a peacock and even some pigs kept by the restaurant owners all wandering freely outside (very novel for townies like me). Food was ok but could be improved a fair bit, eg burger a tad overcooked and americano coffee with milk in which I've not ever seen before. However this said, I'd return again as the overall experience all things considered was good.
