“Fantastic day out”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Had a fantastic day out at marsh farm. The rain had cleared and the sun was shining.
Birds of prey show had us all in stitches, loads of information given and we even touched the birds.
We eat in the cafe while the kids played in the indoor play area. Food was very good.
Played on the jumpy pillows and the inflatable cockerel.crafts in the craft centre, pony rides in the ménage, all had a realy good day.

Well done jimbo.

“Brilliant birthday party”
Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

My family and i have just returned from an absolutley brilliant day at Marsh Farm where we had our daughters 8th birthday party. We can not praise the team enough - from the moment of booking the party til the moment we left nothing was too much trouble.
On arriving at 10am the weather decided to hit us with some very heavy rain ! The quick thinking of the team got us undercover and Frostie treated us to a very impromptu and highly entertaining magic show - true professional.
Our entertainer (sorry i can not remember her name now) was great with the children and kept them entertained and spirits up in the rain. It was also very reassuring that she kept doing head counts.
When it came to the children having their lunch everything was took care of and under control - leaving the parents (even the parents of the birthday girl) nothing to do but chill :) ... brilliant.
After the party had finished we decided to stay and went over to the birds of prey show, which i must highly recommend. I have not seen a show like it, Phil is highly entertaining and will have you laughing out loud. You can see a true passion in his profession and his understanding of his subject.
Thank you all at Marsh Farm for a wonderful day and making our daughters day just perfect :)

“Avoid if you expect to see animals”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

Am so relieved that I purchased my tickets through a promotion I would have been gutted if I paid full price ! Very few animals to look at and feed . The tractor ride was Ok but feel there could have been more interaction with what we could look out for on our journey.
The lunch well...Had one choice of a BBQ chicken sandwich (which I threw most away as it tasted stale ) & there were 2 kids lunch boxes left , one of which had a mouldy , mushy apple in which I fully expected a maggot to crawl out of !
The milking display was one cow that the Farmer said he would put on the machine as it would take too long by hand & then didn't interact with the crowd at all after that , leaving us Parents to explain what was going on .
The Maze - What maze , saw some rubbish piled up
If you want to go to an indoor play area then this is fine but if you are wanting animals then I strongly suggest you visit Boydells Dairy Farm , Weathersfield or another . Needless to say we will not return !

Hi there, thankyou for leaving a review. I am surprised that you thought we didn't have many animals. We have rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, canaries and tropical birds, wallabies, reindeer, birds of prey, ducks, chickens, turkeys, pigs, cows, rare breed cows, sheep, lambs, a large selection of different types of goats, ponies, Shetland ponies, Kune Kune Pigs, Alpacas, Llamas, Pigs and more.
Our restaurant in the playbarn has a large selection of hot and cold food on the menu. Milking machines are very much the way things are done these days, however I accept the demonstration could be more interactive and we are looking in to ways of doing this. We are currently working on improving our tractor ride and are currently devising a spotter guide to make it more educational and fun.
Our Maze is new and still needs a little more done to it to make it great but this is an extra item we have added to increase the activities available here.

We took over Marsh Farm just over a year ago and have invested nearly a million pounds already with a lot more investment planned. We have built a new play centre, introduced many more animals, introduced birds of prey shows, bouncy pillows, a new theatre with magic shows and more. There is so much more to do now and we will continue to improve it all the time.

Thankyou for your comments.
