I use this hotel quite often for business and cannot fault the staff or the service provided. Rooms are pretty clean with tea and coffee making facilities and an iron, struggled to find a hair dryer in the rooms but I always bring my own do not a problem. Rooms need a tad updating, lock of paint would probably do the trick but other than that it’s a nice place in a beautiful location overlooking the sea.

Arrived early, room was ready, booked in by the superb Maggie. Large comfortable room, super shower, very clean. Extensive menu, something for everyone. We were well looked after by the delightful Beth. All meals served quickly, great quality and piping hot.Bar service was fast and cheerful thanks to Kieran and co. Breakfasts are top quality with plenty of choice, Gaye looked after us for breakfast, super, super quick and very happy. Buses for Brighton and Eastbourne stop outside the hotel and are very regular. Managers Owen and Maggie were always at hand and it is obvious that this is a well run happy hotel. Large car park is a great asset. Try the fish and chips, they are great but be wary if you choose the large, it is huge but top quality. Any downside? We find The Old English Inns wine list a little pricey but quality is there. A great four night stay. Try having a meal or drinks on the terrace looking out to sea, perfect.

Room Tip: Choice of sea view or town view.

We stayed at this hotel with a number of friends on a wedding weekend. I cannot thank the staff enough. They worked so hard looking after us. Everyone of them were friendly, helpful and couldn’t have been nicer. The hotel was lovely and the breakfast gorgeous. Many thanks for everything. You did a great job looking after so many of us.

we were in transit on the way to devon so didn't care much where we were going to stop...
good breakfast - wonderful views of the Channel - parking - decent dinner at their restaurant.
...no comment on the room but as i said i just needed a place to sleep and booked on the fly just out of Dover docks...
would not stop again

This hotel is ok. It's very expensive and overpriced for what it is. Travel lodge is genuinely nicer. We stayed for a wedding which was at 13.30. Check in was not until 2pm and there is no facility to check in after 10pm. Hotel staff could offer no suggestion as to how we could check in. The breakfast was ok. However service was slow and staff we seen petting animals in the restaurant area.

The room was in need of new decor with mould and dirty sealant in the bathroom. I would certainly not stay here again. We paid £132.50 for one night. Admittedly this was a bank holiday but it was NOT worth the money. The best thing about this place is its location right on the seafront.
