Stayed for my birthday on a freezing snowy weekend for one night. We were placed in one of the lodges alongside the main hotel so we had to wrap up for the walk back to the facilities which was a bit of a pain.
The room was very large with massive bath, plasma tv, fridge and tea/coffee making. It was warm and the bed was large and comfy.
Stayed on DBB deal and ate in the brasserie which is more informal. The food and service were great value.
The only criticism is the bar area was cold. The fires weren't real log/coal and threw out hardly any heat. Those people gathering on the sofas near the fires were disappointed and had to virtually sit on the fire to get warm. All the curtains were left open too which would have helped cosy things up a bit.
Bar meals came quickly and were delicious.
Had a mini pedicure in the spa which at £25 for a file and polish which took an AGE to dry was poor value.
Lovely walks in the hotel grounds, very rural and scenic. Highly recommended!

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and all the staff that helped make my wedding day the most perfect day in July. Without sounding cheesy the staff were absolutely amazing and despite my cars turning up 30 mins late and the day running behind schedule, nothing was too much trouble and everybody made me feel like a complete princess from start to end.

Thanks so much again - I can't say it enough really - Carden Park was just the best wedding venue ever and I (and all the guests) loved it from start to finish. We're already planning to make the golf and spa days annual, so we'll be back next July!!

Well we were let down by easy jet cancelling our return flights from Spain so could not go there for New year as planned. We looked for somewhere child friendly in Britain and decided on Carden Park Hotel for two nights. It was lovely !!! I have never felt so relaxed and at home in a hotel anywhere. The staff were lovely and the welcome was fantastic. the lounge and bar areas were relaxing and really festive. We loved the New Years eve party in the Shooting lounge and my husband had three servings of haggis neeps and tatties after midnight! I had a really nice spa treatment from Julie who was so friendly and experienced. The main selling point for us was the way families were welcomed without there being noisy children running everywhere ,they got it just right !!!

Stayed here as a treat for my boyfriends Birthday and I couldnt fault it at all. We stayed on a inclusive rate of Dinner Bed and Breakfast in an executive golf view suite. We couldnt see the view when we arrived as it was extremely dark and is in the middle of nowhere ! The room was a decent size, with lovely decor, a huge bed and clean bathroom. Everything you needed was in the room. We went down to dinner in Redmonds and all of the staff were very attentative, the food was delicious and the surroundings were lovely. The manager of the restaurant couldnt do enough for us, it made our evening very special. We then went and sat in the bar for a while by the log fire and finished off the remainder of our wine. There was a little bit of noise overnight from what sounded like light switches next door, and also housekeeping knocked on our door at 9am - when we wanted a lie in, but it didnt detract from our stay. We had an amazing huge breakfast delivered to our room at about 10am, and we checked out just after check out time which is 11am. My boyfriend then had an archery lesson booked for him for 12pm in the grounds of the hotel which was also amazing. Id say if you are looking for a nice relaxing break away from busy roads and the hustle and bustle of towns and cities then this is the place for you. The grounds and the views across the Welsh hills are amazing, and all of the staff are very friendly. I would definately recommend to everyone and anyone !

Been this hotel well over 50 times last two years really gone down hill in the respect of the customer service and over all feel and welcome you get from staff for a hotel like this it is not good enough in the slightiest. But as i said the hotel its self keeps us coming back from the spa to the location but could be near perfect if they sorted the staff from reception to managment obviously not all staff but quiete alot.
