“Can't Decide Which One Is Best”
Reviewed 17 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This is our second visit to Sandstone Trail Cottages. This time we stayed in Bakers Cottage for a long week-end. We had a great time in this beautiful cottage. Jackie and Ray again made us fell so welcome and treated like old friends. They really pull out all the stops to make you feel at home.
We had a debate which cottage was the best. They are both fantastic but if you were to twist my arm, I would go for Bakers.

“Spotless, luxurious and dog friendly ”
Reviewed 9 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We were so pleased to find a property that looked really nice and comfortable and accepted dogs. When we arrived we were amazed. It is truly gorgeous - every detail thought of and an innovative use of space. There are great walks from the door, which the dogs loved.
Jackie greeted us on arrival and was so friendly that the motorway drive stress vanished immediately. It's just heaven. Book now!

“5* cottage and 5* hosts”
Reviewed 29 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We have just spent a week in Bakers cottage and found everything met our expectations and more. From the quality of the cottage and its fitments to the kind, friendly and thoughtful owners, Jackie and Ray. Lots of little touches from the milk in the fridge, honey and flowers, coffee and tea for a cuppa on arrival to the genuine help we received from Jackie and Ray when my mobile phone was lost. We loved the location and being able to walk from the cottage with our dog, an identification tag with the phone number of the cottages, was provided if wanted. We used the tag as mobile reception was not good. The wifi in the cottage was very good. We liked the fact that we had dedicated parking area as well as our own garden space with table and chairs. We had several meals outside and enjoyed the views, quiet and peacefulness of the location. We had intended to just use the cottage as "somewhere to sleep" devoting time to family research not spending very much time at the cottage but in the event we spent more time exploring the local area. Thanks again for the thoughtfulness of the owners with maps, pamphlets etc. places to visit being available in the cottage and also if we had a query, Jackie and Ray's local knowledge. We will definitely be coming back and thanks for a great stay.

“We couldn't have asked for more”
Reviewed 28 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Having owned holiday cottages ourselves we know what to look for and we both agreed that The Bakers Cottage definitely was a 5 star cottage with absolutely everything one could wish for.The fully equipped kitchen with all mod. cons. the woodburner for cooler days and the the large kingsize bed with extremely comfortable pillows and mattress. All was impeccable and yet full of character with a lovely view looking up to the hills.
Ray and Jackie gave us a very warm welcome and couldn't have been more helpful with suggestions of places to visit and things to do. We will definitely be going back!

From the minute we arrived Jackie an Ray made us feel so welcome. The cottage has such a lovely feel and everything you could ever need with lovely finishing touches. Fireplace would be perfect in winter, the kitchen has top all of the range appliances... And very sharp knives!!! Wonderful views from the cottage and such a warm welcoming village, all of the locals seem very friendly. We walked for miles and the views are spectacular. Ourselves and our dogs loved every minute. The perfect escape for some pleasant country walks and a tranquil place to rest your head. The bed was sooo very comfy!!! We will be returning and couldn't recommend it enough.

“Warm, comfortable, welcoming”
Reviewed 17 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

I booked Granary Cottage as a surprise for my fiancé and, as anticipated, was not disappointed.

The owners Ray and Jackie were so welcoming and could not have done more to be there for us, from advice and any questions we may have had, to supplies including fresh eggs and wood for the fire place.

The cottage itself is stunning and, even though it has been completely renovated from it's original building, it has been done so tastefully and thoughtfully.

All in all a wonderful holiday.

Thank you so much for helping to make his surprise to complete.

“Another wonderful week in Granary Cottage”
Reviewed 10 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This was our second holiday staying in Granary Cottage which is just so very lovely. Spotlessly clean, lovely furnishings, kitchen equipment, fresh flowers, eggs and honey, etc. Cannot recommend this property enough. The owners Jackie and Ray are just marvellous; a truly genuinely welcoming and helpful couple. We will be back!! Gareth, Toffee and Liz.
