I've just spent ten days driving around the highlands. It has been a dream to do this for many years, and this B&B was one of the highlights of a fantastic trip. I stayed in great B&Bs everywhere, but this was my favorite. My daughter and I felt like part of the family, and she was able to feed sheep and chickens and jump on a trampoline. The house was on the loch, with snowcapped mountains and a colored rock beach. The food was wonderful, and they played great Scottish music in the background. Dale made sure we had perfect walks to do, and he gave us excellent maps. Make sure you take his advice on hikes. Julie and the kids were lovely, and we felt like part of the family. Oh...the room was perfect too! Thanks!

Room Tip: I loved using the big bath in the double

Dale gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and our 2 and 4 year olds were immediately playing on the children's swings. Great family room with bunk bed. Fantastic cooked breakfast. Highly recommended.

Everything that has been said before is true! We had a very comfortable and clean double room at the back of the property with fabulous views of the loch. Also great views from the dining room and very spacious guest lounge. The guest lounge has very useful books on all sorts of activities which included recommended walks, which we found most helpful as this was our first visit to the area. Dale is passionate about the Highlands and more than happy to pass on his knowledge. We were fortunate enough not to have to make use of the drying room, but what a great idea to have somewhere set aside for wet boots etc. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. You have got to try the black pudding, it was the best we have ever had! We particularly liked being able to make our own tea or coffee at breakfast. Dale and Julia made us feel so welcome, we felt like part of the family. We hope to return to this wonderful part of Scotland and we would definately stay with Dale and Julia again.

We had as family a separated part of the wonderful house. A double bed room and a bunk room with own bathroom with shower. Lovely and very new designed. A cosi guest lounge with stunning view and very well furnished. A great breakfast cooked by Dale and Juli with best gourmet products and prepared with love. There is a place to stay more than one night and we had a calm relaxing time. Best restaurants near the house make all enjoying and nothing missing. Also the smallest thing was organisated in perfect. For us the best B&B in Scotland.

Highly recommend Dale and Julia's B&B, they go out of their way for their guests and are on a first name basis from indroduction - don't know how they remember so quickly! Dale has an excellent knowledge of the area (Mull also if you happen to be travelling there) and helped us out with maps for some lovely walks. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, we had the family rooms at the end which were really convenient, plenty of storage space and a large guest lounge with the most beautiful view of the Loch. Fantastic breakfast, can't beat freshly laid eggs, plenty to eat, fresh fruit also and loved that you can help yourself to coffee and tea. Very conveniently situated for seeing the sights, walking or climbing around Glencoe, what a magnificent area of Scotland that is! Would definitely go back to Dale and Julia's.

Room Tip: Room's to the left have the Loch Views

This is as good as a B&B gets. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable. Views from the guest lounge and the dining room over the loch are spectacular. Local produce and fair trade items feature on the excellent breakfast menu and Dale makes a pot of coffee which would waken the dead. There is a drying room for wet boots and walking gear which was much used during our visit. Best of all, the owners Dale and Julia really make you feel welcome. During our short visit they sorted out packet lunches even though the village shop was closed, made helpful suggestions for evening meals and offered to book a table and run a walkers safety register to make sure everyone gets down off the hill as expected. We'll be back and recommend this place to walkers, cyclists, motorcyclists and tourists of all kinds. If you are using public transport Highland Croft is just 50m from the bus stop for the Citilink bus between Glasgow and Fort William. Get off at Onich post office.
