I'm very late in making this review - we were there in June.
We drove through some of the most beautiful countryside we've ever seen to get there, and went to the WRONG DOOR - we went to the place next-door, which had a "Camus Lodge" sign, or something like that. This was, most definitely NOT, a B&B - I was moderately horrified till we agreed that I was at the wrong place and we carried on next door.
Camus Lodge is absolutely beautiful. Our host, Alistair Campbell, RAN out to greet us and took our bags in - chatting in the most companionable way. This was one of the places that we regretted that we were just spending one night at most of our B&Bs as we toured a LOT of territory over three weeks. Our hosts couldn't have been more sociable and interesting and friendly. We were directed to a very nice restaurant, and honestly just couldn't have enjoyed out setting there in the Glencoe Valley any more. It is just breathtaking there.
The B&B is beautiful, and our room, a family room with two beds and an ensuite bathroom, was huge, immaculate, and extremely attractive and comfortable. I think it was probably the prettiest room we stayed in during our entire vacation.
The garden is just so abundant and fragrant. The lake and mountains are just on the other side of the road, and once the fog lifted the next morning, there it was, stunning us. We had a very companionable breakfast, and a lingering checkout as we talked about some of the local history.
I would stay there again in a heartbeat, and long to go back. Onich is a tiny gem, and this is a wonderful B&B.
