“One night”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

Stayed here the night before flying on holiday from Glasgow. Lovely staff although only 1 person on reception when we arrived to check guests in, answer phones and take bookings for Christmas nights.
Enjoyed a meal in the restaurant - lovely menu and food well presented.
Rooms basic but very warm - no air conditioning.
Did not use any of the facilities apart from the car park for the week.

A group of 50 of us arrived from the Highlands for the National Mod in Paisley. On arrival the light was fading and it looked a bit dreary so I was unsure what it would be like. What we got from the moment we stepped in was wonderful friendly service. The staff were SO accommodating! The rooms were beautiful - they looked like they had been refurbished - and everyone said the same so it wasn't just my room. They were completely freshened up each day replenishing used complimentaries in the bathroom and tea/coffee.
The view of the Erskine bridge was great too.
The food was delicious - we could eat as much as we wanted for breakfast, at our leisure and what a choice!
We didn't get a chance to use the spa so I can't comment on that.
I have no complaints at all - the highest praise is all I can give it :-)

Room Tip: All I can say is room 414 was facing the bridge which was nice

I had booked this hotel to stay over night in before our holiday and leave our car there for the 11 nights.
We arrived at about 7.30pm (2 adults and 2 kids, 4yrs and 7yrs) it took me about half an hour to check in as the two members of staff tht were on check in were dealing (not very nicely) with some other 'guests'. We were advised we were on the 6th floor but that we would need to put our car in the long stay car park which was just minutes away. as we had our suit cases we took them all up to the room first. My partner then went to take the car (in the pouring rain) to the car park. It is NOT a car park, its a field, there is not even stone chips or anything down just mud and puddles! There is no lighting but lucking he was able to use the torch on his mobile whilst i was able to guide him from my phone 6 flights up as i could see the light from his phone and was telling him which way to walk as i coudl see the road to the hotel bu he couldn't!! When he got back he was soaked and his shoes and jeans were covered in mud!
When we stood out of the lift we could have done with sun glasses on - the walls are a peculiar orange/rust colour gloss paint - its horrendous - how someone could have thought that looked ok when painting it on - they must have been colour blind! Our room was huge and probably had an ok veiw but it was dark whilst we were there. The ceiling was hanging off and had huge water stains on it, so much so that i moved the pull out beds that the kids were on as they were directly below loose plaster, this then revealed a large rip in the carpet, the bathroom was disgusting with a 1970s corner bath that the side panel was hanging of off and the ceiling was mirrored above this (?!) room very grubby looking. We quickly went down to get something to eat as the restaurant was apparently open till 10 however got there (lots of people still in restaurant waiting on their food) but told it had just closed, said we were just after some toast or even cereal for kids (they do breakfst etc) but she just stared at me and said 'were closed' Went into the bar area and they guy their was pleasant but very noisy and not the best of places for kids so quickly went up to bed. Thankfully we were getting collected at 4 in the morning and taken to airport which all went smoothly; however on our return to the airport we had been given a piece of paper with 2 mobile numbers on it to call and they would pick us up, called the first one and the guy said 'oh I've to give you this number' and reeled of a number i asked what that was for and was it a Glasgow number - he said he didn't know that was all he had been told, tried dialling the number and it rang out, tried the other mobile and it went to answering machine, so went back to the other number and 45 minutes later were still stuck at airport with two small kids and all our luggage. got number for hotel which turned out to be number i had been ringing all along eventually got through and they weren't bothered about how long i had been waiting etc tried to come up with an excuse that the airport were now refusing their minibus into the airport and they had only been given two days notice so she would arrange a taxi for us. We then got speaking to the taxi driver who said that was rubbish and they had been using taxis all the time and everyone was complaining about it. Thankfully our car is 4x4 otherwise i doubt very much we would have got it out of the field after the rain, apparently lots of cars were stuck a few months back and they had to get 4x4 in to pull them out. How they can advertise this as 'Park & Fly" Hotel is beyond me.
Do not waste your money staying here - even though we were less than 9 hours in the hotel it was a horrendous 9 hours! I now have the details of the holiday inn right over the road from the airport which i will definitely be using in future.

Room Tip: Dont even think about booking here

This is the second time I have stayed here in the last 12 months. Clean rooms , very helpful reception staff. I arrived early from London Gatwick and she said give her an hour and she would get me a room ready and it was by 10.30AM.Good swimming pool and sauna. Service at dinner was a little slow on the first night but much better on the second night. Food was good. Stunning view from the sixth floor bedroom.

Stayed the night here prior to a morning flight from glasgow the next day. We booked it mainly because of the swimming pool and associated facilities, which were fine and adequate. The rest of the hotel is a bit tired and dated and in need of some money spent on it to bring back up to scratch.
Our family room was large, but the bed was so soft I felt I would roll onto the floor in the middle of the night. The TV was an old CRT model in a cabinet situated such that it was unwatchable from the the beds (the sofa had been it turned into a pull out bed). Bathroom was adequate, large though very dated. Carpet was hoovered but had old stains, and the ace just was really a bit in need of attention.
On the plus side the hotel is away from the main road so you are unlikely
to be bothered by either traffic noise or street lights.
Overall it was just an ok establishment.

Stayed her for one night as my in-laws were flying to USA next morning. Arrived at reception mid afternoon to be told they had no reservation for us, it felt like it was too much like hard work for the gentleman(?!) serving us to book us in...it was as if it was our fault that they had not booked a room for us.. Eventually we got a room sorted but when my husband enquired about dinner, again we were made to feel as if we were a nuisance.
Pool was fine, but changing rooms dirty, and sauna just a warm room...not very sauna like! Dinner, however was delicious and waiting staff very nice and helpful. Drinks prices, however were very high...I guess to be expected in a hotel.
Our bedroom appeared adequate on first inspection, but was far from it, lots of signs of wear and tear, heating which couldn't be adjusted so bedroom was more like a sauna ( perhaps they should install this heating in sauna!) and beds that were just awful...I like a firm bed but these we're ridiculous, felt like we were sleeping on the floor....we both had the worst nights sleep we've had in a long time.
Up very early next morning ( due to being uncomfortable) and decided to give pool a miss and just check out and head for breakfast...paid bill which was extortionate for such a poor quality hotel...same gentleman checked us out and again made us feel like we were a nuisance...only asking if everything had been ok after I had paid. Then when I asked where breakfast was served he told us we were room only! This was the Icing on the cake ...we left with our two young children and headed elsewhere for breakfast.
We will not be returning here.
I should add we have stayed here in the past..prior to the redecoration, and although it was dated it was of a much better standard then...such a shame.
