Stayed here after a very long day on WHW. We'd phoned ahead to say we'd be late and they kindly kept back 6 steak pies for us.
When we arrived they were keen for us to get sat down and scoffing them but this was because the chef had stayed behind for us. The dinner was great and I'm only sorry I was so utterly knackered I couldn't sit in the bar for a few beers. After stumbling upstairs had a fab sleep in the family room. A couple of points - had to fill kettle up under shower as it didn't fit under tap and, more importantly, there are signs everywhere to keep the windows closed because of midges. We weren't bothered by them as it was early in the season but noticed many other accommodations had fitted midge nets over the windows. Given some of other reviews re stuffiness of rooms it surely wouldn't be too much trouble to do the same?
Anyway, I had the sleep of the dead, as did my compadres. Three of them were in the annex and said how lovely it was. Breakfast was fab and the best coffee en route.
Would recommend.

Room Tip: The family room had a great view - double and 2 single beds with en-suite shower room

Stayed in this hotel on day 3 of our WHW challenge What a beautiful location with deer at the back of the hotel and lovely views from the front Staff made us feel very welcome when we came in cold and soaking from our days walking . 3 of us had the annexe next door which was brilliant All rooms were clean and comfortable Staff were very friendly and accommodating and moved our evening meal time slot back as late as possible to accommodate the last of our walking group to get back in time so we could all eat together Food very reasonable and good grub., Would definatly recommend it

Room Tip: annexe next door has three single beds in

Visited this hotel for one night while walking The West Highland Way.
Family run hotel which is isolated and in a beautiful location, deer can be seen near the hotel late evening.
Evening meal and breakfast was satisfying and well cooked and presented.
Accommodation was of a good size, clean and comfortable.
The hotel bar was friendly and cozy, offering a place to drink and chat with other guests and some campers.
Friendly staff who made the visit a pleasant experience.

Six of us walking the West Highland Way arrived soaking wet in the middle of a hail storm. We had very disparate rooms with one couple in a spacious annexe, one in a very cramped twin room with shared facilities, and the third in a lovely large room overlooking the garden complete with bird table and deer feeding below. Even the small twin room was adequate and reasonably comfortable and we happy with the accommodation. There was a nice little walkers bar and the evening meal was of an average standard. Breakfast was a little disjointed and the service was very slow but overall the staff were pleasant and helpful and we appreciated the drying facilities for our wet clothes and boots.

We were allocated this hotel as a result of another local hotel having accommodation issues and were absolutely delighted with it!

Our party (a group of 3 friends) were given a family room - very spacious, bright and clean. The shower was a nice surprise too, an oversized cubicle with a very hot and powerful shower, just what we needed after a 19 mile walk.

The evening meal was delicious, homecooked and hearty (highly recommend the venison pate!)

The hotel is in an idyllic location, amazing views over Loch Tulla, countless deer wandering past the windows and very peaceful.

Next time we do the West Highland Way, the Inveroran will be on the list of stops!

Room Tip: Ask for room 5 if travelling as a group of friends!

Stopped here as part of our West Highland Way walk. This is a small (9 bed) hotel set in stunning scenery. The hotel has its own bar, coffee lounge, dining room and residents lounge. The room we had was comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were good. I was delighted to see some Scottish choices on the dinner menu like Haggis, Scotch beef and other local offerings. Wine was relatively reasonable - from £12.95 a bottle. Guest are encouraged to have coffee in the residents lounge which is well stocked with books. The breakfast menu had a good variety again with some local, Scottish offerings on the menu. I had local fish which was lovely. I would say the service was efficient and polite rather than friendly. Overall, this was an enjoyable stay and the hotel is recommended.

Stayed here in April 2013 while walking the West Highland Way. What a place! The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble!! I and two of my companions were lucky enough to stay in the annexe, where we were greeted by deer peering in through the window! When the window was opened the deer actually stuck their head in to see if we had any food, amazing!!!
On the subject of food, we opted for the three course dinner and it was so good that one of our group proposed marriage!!!
The rest of the evening involved a very pleasant few hours in the cosy public bar getting to know the other guests and exchanging stories.
After a great night's sleep a huge cooked beakfast awaited which was delicious and enabled us to smash out the first ten miles of that days walk in record time!!!
This place is not to be missed if you're walking the way!!!!!!

Room Tip: Choose the annexe for visits from curious deer!!!
