visited last weekend for a meal. pre ordered our food as it was a very large party of 30+. We were not offered drinks at any point and had to get up and go to the bar ourselves but it was clear the staff were a little overwhelmed. twice someone else had taken what we had ordered so then had to wait for a fresh meal to be cooked which meant we didnt eat at the same time. Perhaps they should of checked all the orders when we first came in.
I couldn't fault my food, my steak was lovely. The only complaint i have is it was so hot in the restaurant.
Beautiful location on the waterfront. Parking is a bit of a nightmare.

A mini-family reunion dinner in North Wales - dinner with my niece and my family after a visit to Caernarvon Castle. A favorite of the locals, good food, pleasant service, and delightful dining areas. Somewhat difficult to find, but well worth the time to get there. Triplet 13 years old all found something they could enjoy on the menu, not always the case.
A memorable evening followed by niece showing the triplets how to skim slate from the shore into the Menai Sraight, the hit of the evening for the kids.

A big thank you to all at the Garddfon Inn,especially John who made our stay so special, stayed over 2 nights for my Daughter's Graduation and the food both nights was exceptional, there were 5 adults dining and each and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our starters, main and dessert, am a real sea food baby and the Menu left me with a real dilema as to what to choose, we really did not want to come home and look forward to visiting again.... Thank you x

Invited to dine here and pleasantly surprised by the choice and quality of the food. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent and apart from the choice from the menu there is also a selection of daily specials. Nice location by the water with some outdoor seating for a quick drink.

Only down side was that the smell of disinfectant emanating from the kitchen as the staff cleaned up at the end of the evening.

Visited The Garddfon for dinner, last weekend on the Saturday night, which turned out to be the village carnival weekend and boy was it busy!! Despite that however we had an excellent fresh local fish and seafood meal, promptly served by very cheerful and helpful staff.
We then went back on the Tuesday night and again had an excellent meal - rib steak, which must rank amongst the best steak we have ever eaten, deliciously tender and tasty and cooked to perfection. The pub was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night, but again service wasn't on.
Choice of dishes is reasonable and made better by the seasonal specials board and prices are good, considering the quality and quantity of the dishes.
Altogether a super little village pub in an absolutely fabulous position overlooking the Menai Straits.
