“A Little Piece of Heaven.”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

We stayed here for a very comfortable three nights. Living in Cornwall we are used to beautiful, spectacular views, but the view from our room at the Plas Dinorwic, equalled anything to be seen in Cornwall.
The staff and family are friendly and helpful, the room we had was very spacious and clean and the bed was the most comfortable out of all those that I have slept in at any other hotel, privately owned or chain, including the one advertised on the TV.
Snowdon, Caernarfon and other attractions are easily reached.
We were very sad when it was time to leave, but we will certainly be back to this beautiful part of Wales, and we are looking forward to another stay at the Hotel Plas Dinorwic.

Room Tip: I am partially disabled, and there is a room on the ground floor which met my needs.

We have just stayed in The Tower?
The views were spectacular and the appartment, lovely, clean and comfortable.
Now the downside. On arrival we found there was no lock to the appartment door, but when we queried this,we were assured that there would be no other people staying in the appartments, who would have had access. So when we locked the main door, only the hotel staff could enter,ie cleaners.Although we had been reassuered, it was still rather daunting trying to sleep, knowing the appartment could not be locked??
Although there was a fire extinguisher, and fire blanket,in the event of a fire from underneath,as the appartment on the ground floor was let,it would be very difficult to get out of the top tower.(Perhaps the ladder left on the balcony, was our escape route?)
From a health and safety veiw, the bathroom was lovely, but there are no handles on the bath, which make it difficult to get out when wet.and also dangerous to get in.Accidents happen when you least expect them??
The bed,is cosy but abit unnerving,as the tiled floors, allow the bed to move quickly,if you don't realise.Needless to say we had quite a laugh whilest sailing across the floor??
The balcony barrier is slightly lose, which could cause a problem.
Although this has been a unique experience,we feel it is sad to see such a lovely place looking like a builders yard.
The chairs on the balcony could do with an upgrade.
The staff were friendly and efficient, but in short supply, thus making it seem like the Marie Celeste.

Room Tip: Go there first to see the hotel has to offer?

Stayed two nights, staff are very friendly, rooms are spacious and very clean. The views are exceptional. Dinner on first night was acceptable but not really special? Needless to say the staff went out of their way to produce a cheese board. To be fair it was value for money. The bar is ok but lacks any atmosphere. Overall this is ok.

My mother and I stayed for one night last Bank Holiday weekend as we wanted somewhere to stay before climbing Snowdon the next day. We were very pleasantly surprised with our stay here, the location is incredibly scenic and the whole place has a very friendly and welcoming stay about it.

What really sets the hotel apart is the friendliness of the staff. On arrival we were greeted by a young man who happily chatted and joked around with us before offering to help find us somewhere for dinner that evening - you could tell he was being genuinely nice rather than just putting on a show because we were a customer. Similarly the woman who checked us out the day after was really conversational and helpful.

The room was nice with views of the sea and the bathroom was very spacious and clean.

We didn't eat there but the breakfast looked great and the bar area was cosy. We will definitely be returning but next time for longer!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view!

Stayed for Bank Holiday weekend on a walking break in Snowdonia.

We had an apartment which had 180-degree views of the Menai Straits, the room was fresh, clean and tidy. Couldn't have asked for more!

The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was well worth it (make sure you opt for two eggs!)

Will definitely be staying again when we return -- a real gem of a hotel!

Room Tip: Go for an apartment - the views are worth the extra money!

Just got home from a brilliant weekend at Plas Dinorwic. Staff made you feel very welcome form the moment you walked through the door. Our room over looked the Menai Straits, clean and tidy. And what a great view we had. Nothing was to much trouble.

Room Tip: Room overlooking the Mainai Straits.

We found another great place to stay in North Wales! This time, however, it was not just the accommodation, but also the experience. It started even before our actual arrival with the friendly voice on the other side of the line when we booked. Hadyen was absolutely brilliant! He made us feel welcome even before our arrival. And then there was Mandy at reception! Thank you Mandy for making us feel wellcome and at home. The moment we stepped into the lounge and reception area we were transposed into a different world! The furniture and decor demonstrate style and good taste. The atmosphere was warm and homely. We asked for accommodation downstairs and were offerred Deck 1, a fantastic spacious and comfortable suite. Four poster bed, dining room table and lounge suite all ours to enjoy at our leisure. We were even served coffee in the room which anyway had all the facilities to make our own coffee. We also had a room upstairs in the main building - equally well fitted, clean and with all the necessary facilities. The bathrooms in both rooms were clean, well maintained and fully equipped . The views on the river are magnificent from the rooms as well as from the conservatory type dining room. Following a good night's rest in a quite environment, our cooked breakfast in the morning was served with a personal touch. Check out in the morning was fast and efficient. All in all a brilliant experience. Do not hesitate to book and stay at this hotel!

Room Tip: Deck 1 is a winner!
