Couldn't of asked for a better leaving meal for my sister ! Perfect venue, perfect food, perfect service! The team at Croes Howell managed brilliantly a group of 10 girls !! They supplied personalised drinks menus with pictures of my sister and colour co ordinated the table settings just how I wanted it! If your thinking of planning a meal for a special occasion I highly recommend!!

Have had a lovely relaxing lunch at this restaurant. Gorgeous look out onto fields and beyond.
Starters of chicken kebab and pulled pork rissoles were beautiful. For mains we had gammon and new potatoes, chorizo, bacon and black pudding salad - very unusual and tasty. But the highlight was the sharing dessert platter - tasty ice cream, waffles, pannacotta etc.
enjoyable experience and staff very welcoming. Can't wait to return

Visited the croeshowell on a lovely sunny evening , had a drink outside , views are amazing and staff very friendly and attentive . I had the fish and chips which were lovely and came very quickly after ordering . All in all a lovely evening in a lovely setting with great food . In the area I would say it is by far the best place to eat , definitely recommend .

Sons birthday, venue choice Croes Howell, been there before on more than one occasion, usually excellent, okay u pay a little more than your average pub meal but normally what u receive is much more than a pub meal anyway, unfortunately not this eve , to start, we asked about the sharing platter it sounded great ,,,, it arrived at table :( sharing platter conjures up pictures of a steaming platter with a nice selection of morsels and tasters ,,, mmm no, three mouthfuls of food each, half a mushroom each, 1 prawn each , 1 minuscule falafel each , but wait for it 1 little chicken kebab with three pieces of chicken on it,, i asked the manageress how are we meant to share it, she replied cut it in half,,, what with a skewer through it ,, ok , but i thought it was to share, we only got three mouthfuls anyway, and now we half a kebab ,,, fair play she did disappear and come back with another kebab but don't really think thats the point ,, main meal consisted of mash potato with garlic and sage,,, plenty of garlic but no sage,, pork wellington was a piece of dried up pork covered in pastry resembling a soggy plaster,, and the part that had really got me interested in the first place was the supposed cider sauce,, cider, right it was like a brown creme sauce more like sauce diane without the mushrooms deffo not a cider sauce, complained again but by the time i got offered something else the rest of my family was near finished didn't fancy sitting there eating on my own while everyone else is fed so went hungary .. i have advocated this place to many of my friends and colleagues as one the best eateries around this area alas my view has deffo changed ,,, sorry but it may help rectify certain small issues ,,
regards Hungary Andy from Dodleston (if ya gonna charge top dollar the grub gotta be top dollar dudes )
