“overpriced”

The Old Vicarage is good for an extended family holiday.
Be aware that the ensuites are small and all have saniflo systems, these were not fully functional during our stay.
The " wet-shower room" was not as expected, more like a wet cupboard on the landing.
Security on the main gate was non existent putting children at risk. The road junction beyond is very dangerous
The house should have a landline phone for emergency calls, mobile reception is very poor.
We would not advise walking to the pub, the only route is along a busy road with no footpath.

“Brilliant house in a beautiful area!”

The Gower Vicarage had everything we could have wanted for our weekend away! A great kitchen diner area to socialise in, and lots of space for relaxing in the living rooms. The bedrooms were beautiful too. It had the wow factor perched on top of a hill, but was really cosy and homely at the same time. The garden was great. It was also within 10 mins of all the great beaches in the Gower. Basically we loved it and would definitely go back. So reasonable too! Thanks Gower Vicarage team!

“An absolute delight of a house, perfect for our large group of friends”
Reviewed 22 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

A beautiful house with everything you could wish for on a weekend break. Plenty of bed space and leisure space. The kitchen morphs into the conservatory which is a truly multi use area from busy cooking to restful mornings reading the paper. Most of out time spent here. Would recommend this house for anyone looking for a restful time that has all the best beaches and coastline nearby.

“Perfect Location for family trip to Gower”
Reviewed 11 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

We simply could not fault the wonderful setting of this fabulous, character-filled house. Eleven of us rented the house for a family reunion and 50th birthday celebration. We were aged between 14 months to 76 years old. The house is spacious but still retains a lovely cosey, family and almost farmhouse feel whilst being elegantly decorated and furnished throughout. It was lovely to be "Lord of the Manor" for a week. The Gower beaches, the Mumbles Craft Shops and beautiful walks through unspoilt National Trust land only added to an even more magical week left us really keen to return. We have already re-booked for our 25th anniversary weekend later in the year! Alison and Mike (the hosts/owners) were also truly delightful and ensured we had all we needed to make our stay special - thank you from a very happy family!

“This is a truly fabulous holiday home”
Reviewed 1 June 2012 for a stay in April 2012

The Old Vicarage became our holiday home for a week to celebrate my young wife's 75th birthday. All three generations of our 14 strong family had a fantastic time both on those wonderful golden sand Gower beaches and then in the oh so relaxing rooms of the homely house with the proverbial glass of nectar.

“truly magnificent house for family holiday in the gower”

We were so enchanted by the Old Vicarage for our 3 generation family Easter holiday that we have booked to go again next year. The house is so spacious and comfortable that it didn't feel as though 12 of us were there. Location is fantastic for all the wonderful Gower beaches and bracing walks with the children. We can't wait to return.
