We have just returned home after a two night stay at the King Arthur. Our room number 8 was spacious, well furnished, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food in the evening was excellent but as a previous reviewer says, ensure you reserve a table at the earliest opportunity. This is one busy busy Hotel and Restaurant . Breakfast was also very good. This accommodation was equal to. A four star hotel we stopped in at Bath and a fraction of the price!!
The staff although busy dealing with many customers both in and outside were attentive and polite.
The Hotel is within easy reach of the many lovely beaches in the Gower, but beware some of the access roads are very narrow , so take extreme care and a slow speed.

Room Tip: Wifi was best in the bar area but a bit iffy in the annexe rooms. Our room number 8 was in the recen...

We got married at The King Arthur in May this year and it was definitely a day to remember! Carly was our wedding planner and was so meticulous in her work that everything ran like clockwork. She was so approachable and patient (despite my numerous emails!!) and really ensured our day was perfect! The venue looked absolutely stunning- so many people have mentioned how lovely the room looked and how stunning the grounds were. The food was also delicious with plenty of choice and flexibility in the menu (we'd definitely recommend the taster session- we really enjoyed tasting the different choices available!)
Thank you so much to all at The King Arthur who made our day so perfect! We'd definitely recommend you to anyone who'd like to get married there. I can't wait for a return visit for our anniversary :) xx

Superb menu, good wine list, very helpful, well informed staff, local produce, visited on a Saturday evening, peak time, packed out plus wedding party, within minutes we had a table, menu and drink in hand, looking forward to next visit. Never fail to impress.

What can I say, the place/staff are awesome. Ever since we booked our wedding I had absolute confidence in the venue and the staff, and they didn't disappointed! The venue looked spectacular, the staff were great and the food fantastic. Had a great evening too and made for the best day of my life! Wouldn't have wanted it anywhere else!!

Tonight the place was heaving. There must have been eighty people eating and drinking outside the hotel and in the main bar there were around forty people. Plus there were many people settled in the restaurant and the back bar.

My wife attracted the attention of Alex and his dad, Len, who owns the place. My wife loved the attention that they showed to her. And I loved it too.

Alex is all over the place, supervising and checking that all the guests are happy and that the staff are being attentive and prompt in their duties.

I would not have liked to be in the kitchen tonight as everyone was ordering two and three courses, from their amazing menu. The Greek chef must have been run off his feet. Yet everyone was served within a few minutes of placing their order. I don't know how they did it.

I had cod loin and it was fabulous. My wife had the sea food linguine. We were both well satisfied with the ample portions and the great taste of the food.

Thanks Len. Thanks Alex. You and your team of waiters and kitchen staff deserve a medal. We'll be back soon. You know we will, even if it's just for a pint of one of the ales that you keep. You had five real ales on tonight. Wow. Great.
