We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse. Our suite was extremely comfortable with a great view of surrounding fields. The staff were great & the meals were terrific. There are lots of walks in the area that are picturesque & not too taxing.

The Farmhouse is a wonderful small hotel, with so much charm and personality. The restaurant was spectacular with lots of mouth watering meals to try from (would highly recommend the ‘Farmhouse Burger’).
The Staff were so pleasant to us and courteous through out our stay, so much so they made us feel like family.
We found the location ideal for our stay as we didn't want to be in St. Peters Port, but still wanted ease of access. Luckily there is a bus stop fairly near to the hotel which goes to St Peters Port. Also the hotel had picturesque gardens which were nice to sit out and have our lunch of an afternoon right also by the heated pool as well.
We would fully recommend the Farmhouse hotel our home away from home!

Nicely appointed room, snug bathroom, friendly staff and very nice food served throughout the day. We stayed in room 1, which was very quiet. Only one small criticism - the bath was quite difficult to get out of! We had two excellent breakfasts, a light lunch and an evening meal as the food was so nice - our lunch seemed particularly reasonably priced. The staff also told us about 2 beautiful walks - both of which we did.

Superficially this restaurant looks the part, the reality is that the expectations created are disappointed. The layout of the main dining room is smart and elegant, spacious and alluring.

Arriving on a cool and wet October evening we were the first of several diners in the room to request the cold air conditioning to be turned off. Natural body heat was all that we felt for the rest of an evening where service was muddled - wrong orders, mixed orders of rather modest proportions were served.

The house wines offered, one by grape variety and one by brand, only made for confusion.

Clearly the employment regulations on the island don't help train foreign staff for long term careers where attention to detail is missing and errors are met by stifled sniggers.

This place could and should be doing so much better. Disappointing.

We stayed for 3 nights in late September and will never return. The rooms were lovely but the service in the restaurant was dreadful. There were functions on the last two nights and the restaurant staff spent all of their time looking after these to the detriment of diners. Despite complaining and being told it wouldn't happen again the following night was worse! When you have to go to look for the restaurant manager to ask when your meal is coming there is something badly wrong. When I asked to see the hotel manager to complain I was told there isn't one. It showed as there was no obvious management of any kind. Frankly it cost a great deal of money and wasn't worth it!

We stayed here for the last week in September for a week to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary..

This is four start hotel but from our experience should be higher as the service and quality was more like 5 star. The attention to detail by all staff and the customer service was second to none. Nothing appeared too much trouble.

A week before our booking we received an email to advise that on the first night there was a function with music but were advised this would finnish by 11.30. In the event there was no noise and we were not disturbed even though our room overlooked the hotel car park.

We ate in the restaurant every night of our stay. The standard of food and service was excellent. Even staying for 7 nights the menu was sufficiently varied to not be a problem..

The hotel does have a heated outdoor pool although we did not venture out to use it.

All in all we would certainly whole heartedly recommend this

Room Tip: Rooms with Balconies overlook a flat roof

Close to airport, funky and quirky but elegant.
Room was very clean and could not find any fault, tastefully decorated with smallest touches that tell you people are taking care of you and paying attention to detail.
Try the lovely afternoon cream team in the gardens.
Staff very professionals and attentive. Lovely place for a long weekend
