Stayed here as a birthday treat - what a treat. Provence Room was fantastic, high ceilings, patio fantastic bathroom with lovely soap (yes I know but I usually hate soap but this was really nice) and the bed was so comfortable. Staff attentive, remember your name, and that it was a double birthday. All the little things taken care of even down to setting the fire in the room but all done without being pretentious. The make 'yourself at home welcome' was lovely. AND the food - to die for. We love Four Seasons hotels as their service is fab but this goes one better. As a plus point the gardens are really beautiful and good for a wander. On the whole a fantastic experience.

Room Tip: Stayed in courtyard setting which was lovely but need to bare in mind that you do then have to walk...

What can we say that hasn't already been said. A truly beautiful location, attentive, but friendly staff and amazing food. We had the seasonal lunch menu with the wine pairing, which led us to try wines which we would never otherwise have chosen from a wine list.

We thought it was very good value for money.

We hope to return.

Stayed a night here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Had very high expectations and they were beaten on every level.
Very beautiful place - fab gardens, food staff and stunning bedrooms.
Quite outstanding and worth every penny - a treat that we will repeat.

We went to Le Manoir for my birthday and to experience the Decouverte package and Cookery School.
We had a beautiful room overlooking the courtyard garden; our first impression was wonderful because the room was stunning-everything we could have wanted was there.
Our meal on Friday was from the Decouverte Menu and was, on the whole, enjoyable. The service was First Class-we were very impressed.
After a wonderful and relaxing breakfast we toured the garden at Le Manoir (a lovely experience in itself), Blenheim Palace is a short drive from Le Manoir so we spent the day there and had a champagne lunch.
Saturday's meal was extremely enjoyable-we didn't want the experience to end!.
On Sunday we had an informative, great fun and not to be missed day at Raymond Blanc's Cookery School; we watched various exciting meals being prepared; cooked a mouth watering omelette; tasted lots of new flavours; had a tour around the gardens; a tour around the kitchens and were truly amazed by the depth of knowledge of our teacher. In short we really enjoyed the day.
I recommend that anybody who wants to celebrate a special event or just spoil themselves visit Le Manoir; you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Any room would be good I'm sure -we had a de luxe room overlooking the garden courtyard.

We came here for lunch on my Father-in-Law's 60th birthday and were a large party of 11 including my 14 month old niece and my husband's 88 year old grandmother. We were a fairly loud party arriving with a pile of presents, balloons and baby paraphernalia in tow, but from the moment we arrived the staff made us feel welcome and were genuine, real people rather than stuffy drones. They allowed my husband's grandmother to park her tiny battered Clio in the car park next to the Aston Martins so she could walk a shorter distance and didn't insist on valet parking it (as she was nervous about that) to get it away from the front of the hotel.

They gave us a private lounge for pre-dinner drinks and canapés so presents could be opened (and balloons discretely hidden away when we realised they maybe weren't 100% appropriate (not that they would have ever said a word about it!) and we had a lovely private dining room.

It goes without saying that the food was incredible- I mean, to die for! We had seven courses of pure perfection - not flashy, not quirky or original, just a master class in classic cookery and flavour balancing that other places can only aspire too. Special diets for low-salt and pregnant guests were arranged with no fuss at all, and kept track of when we insisted on moving seats every course with no fuss!

The waiters who looked after us were wonderful! My niece was very well behaved, but was still a typical toddler but her usual tricks of throwing food on the floor were met with genuine warmth and understanding rather than stifled politeness, including the most incredible right arm launch of bread roll at one of them! She was given a complimentary teddy bear to play with (which was presented to her (not just given to her mum) at height at just the right moment when she was getting ansty in a lovely friendly way. Her food was also fantastic and great value- her main came with chips that were hands-down the best chips I have ever tasted. The waiter noticed that a few of us were "borrowing" her chips and when the main course arrived so did a few bowls of chips for us to share! Eating perfectly cooked venison and chips was not something I expected, but it was such a great talking point, and typical of the attention to detail and service that we experienced.

I wash' going to write a review as they aren't exactly short of accolades, but after our experience I felt I needed to share just what it is that makes this place so special. Keep up the good work and please, never change!

I have to admit that I'm yet to sample Venison and Chips - I'll have to try that soon.

I booked the Decouverte Package for my husband's 40th birthday (junior suite, half bottle of champagne, tasting menu for dinner, buffet breakfast). When we arrived, we were ushered to the Lemongrass Suite, which is absolutely gorgeous and we immediately felt transported to another world. We had booked massages in the room (one for each of us), and those were both perfect - very professional and utterly relaxing.

The tasting menu was superb. Every dish amazed us, and the accompanying glass of wine enhanced each dish. In fact, every bit of food we tasted during our stay made us go "wow!" - and we are VERY picky when it comes to food. Even the biscuits that were delivered with our coffee in the morning melted in our mouths. (see the restaurant review in the Guardian Sept 2013 - we agree with it completely)

We were truly impressed. Of course, the eye-watering bill we had to pay upon check out did dampen our spirits a bit, especially when the machine asked if I wanted to add a gratuity (fortunately I had read the hotel booklet in the room where Monsieur Blanc himself says we should not feel obligated to pay a gratuity). It is a huge amount of money to spend for one night away, and only justifiable for a truly special occasion. But it was such a perfect and memorable 24 hours of bliss that we are glad we went to the expense.

Feels as though it is worth every penny. Friendly staff who really seem to want you to have a wonderful time, without being fawning or obsequious. We had the 7-course tasting menu and it is impossible to pick out highlights as each one was as extraordinary as the last. The bread is sublime - eat as much as you can as the flavours are magic. Even though we ate as much as Mr Creosote the meal took about 3 hours so we didn't feel completely stuffed. Te best meal we have ever eaten by miles.
