My wife and I stayed at Le Manoir and were incredibly impressed throughout our stay. The service was impeccable and the Country house hotel is in a beautiful location. Literally everything has been thought of, it really was an unforgettable experience. Our room was beautiful and there was everything and more in the room for us. Breakfast the next day was literally a feast and the cooked options, truly delicious. Yes you pay the price, but I think you definitely get what you pay for, Le Manoir is simply exquisite.

Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is the quintessential luxury country house hotel. Everything from the moment we arrived was simply perfect melding impeccable service with sublime food in the most beautiful surroundings.

Staying here is undoubtably an expensive exercise but fully justified given the exquisite attention to detail. The fact that the place has held two Michelin stars since 1985 is hardly coincidental.

We had very high expectations prior to our stay at Le Manoir, I'm glad to say they were exceeded on every level. Fabulous.

We stayed here for the first time this week as a birthday treat from my husband. My birthday was in February but this was the first opportunity we'd had the time to go. We had the romantic package which was absolutely wonderful. First of all the staff were amazing. They were very friendly but at the same time professional and very attentive. It was obvious that everyone wanted our stay to be memorable for all the right reasons. We stayed in one of the Junior suites which was delightful. After only sampling the afternoon tea in the gardens and enjoying the wonderful relaxing atmosphere my husband asked if I would like to book to come back. This was before we had what was a truly exceptional dinner. As we grow a lot of our own vegetables at home we decided to take the garden tour as we thought this would be interesting. Once again we were not disappointed. John, who worked in the gardens took us on the tour and his knowledge was fantastic. He was able to answer any questions we had, but also presented the tour in a very interesting way, which also made us want to go home and try to grow things we had never attempted to grow before. As I mentioned earlier, my husband asked if I would like to go back...let's just say he didn't have to ask twice. We will be returning in August as we would like to see the garden again in a different season. We will be staying for two nights and will also be doing the kitchen tour, which is something else to look forward to.

Staff extremely well trained in meeting the customer needs with polite conversation friendly not at all formal. Food excellent we stayed 2 nights had both tasting menus with wines which were exceptional. Breakfast excellent choices
For my taste the food was a little too salty particularly when salt was put on prior to service. I would have mentioned this at the time but did not want to spoil the experience
The bed sheets are wonderful, expensive to stay so worth staying locally and booking a meal.

Room Tip: Basic rooms small but great bathrooms beds very very comfortable .

Everything you've read about this place is true. The ultimate destination in this country. Yes it's expensive, but worth saving up for if you have to.
The gardens, staff, food, service, rooms and atmosphere were delightful.

If you want an amazing culinary experience, you will get it at Le Manoir - but get a taxi home! The 'de luxe' bedroom we were given was extremely disappointing - cramped, very poorly appointed (lacking in important things to make it comfortable) and hugely expensive for nothing very special. At around £700 for the night (excluding food) it was definitely not worth it and we wouldn't stay there again.

Dear TripAdvisor Member

Thank you for leaving your feedback. We were sorry to learn of your disappointment with our accommodation. We have a variety of bedrooms of differing sizes and it is such a shame you found your room to be cramped and therefore would not stay with us again.

We have responded to you also privately and do hope that at some point in the future you may change your mind (and that we may have the opportunity of welcoming you back).

We stayed here overnight for a couples celebration. I have never stayed anywhere where the staff were so attentive, professional and discrete. Our room had its own courtyard which led onto the other gardens. I had expected a superb hotel and restaurant ( not disappointed) but I had not realised the gardens and terrace were so lovely. Expensive -yes, but worth every penny, (much more so than the Orient Express.)
