“Raymond - Better Than Ever”

We have not eaten at Le Manoir for some years (when Zoe collected her dissertation from the printers) and it seemed time to try again (a Big Birthday for Zoe),
Good weather always helps at this restaurant as the gardens are an important part of the experience. We had a perfect English summer day to savour the "amuse bouche's" before being taken into the Orangery, our favourite room.
The food that came over the next two hours was completely sublime and this time, for the first time, we did not feel "full" at the end.

Thank you Monsieur Blanc once again.

“Everything you could hope for!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

We visited Le Manoir to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. The venue is absolutely stunning and very conveniently located next to the M40.
We were taken to the lounge and had cocktails whilst we looked over the menu. We were served hors d'oeuvre and then taken through to our table.
The one thing which really stood out were the staff, they are all so friendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes and wines available.
We felt so relaxed it is not a pretentious place, there were several families seated around us with small children and we all felt at ease.
We went for the 7 course tasting menu and it really did have the wow factor. Additionally when I had called to book I was asked if it was a special occasion, when deserts came I hadn't asked for anything special on the desert (wasn't sure if you could really ask) but the staff had already put a candle and a Happy Birthday plaque on his desert which was a really lovely surprise.
We then went out for tea and coffee outside in the garden and were served delicious petit fours and went for a stroll around the beautiful gardens.
Worth every penny and not rushed at all, for a special occasion I don’t think you can beat the experience we had here.
Thank you to all the staff for an amazing experience!

“A Perfect Experience from Start to Finish...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

Went here for lunch to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary.
We had the seven course taster meal.
I really can't express what a wonderful experience this was.
The service you receive is second to none - not at all in your face, but there immediately if needed, will chat if required, and not otherwise - they have it spot on.
We started with canopees in the lounge and a glass of house champagne.
The food was served beautifully - each course a masterpiece and absolutely delicious. You could also have as much homemade bread as you wanted - of all varieties.
The meal was not at all rushed - we were seated from about 1.30 to 4.30 but could have stayed longer if we wanted.
It was a beautiful day, so we had coffee in the garden and then had a lovely walk round the spectacual grounds.
I would say it is better to go for lunch as you get much longer there and during the summer you also get the chance to walk round the gardens and sit outside to have coffee.
Obviously you know that this ain't going to be cheap (£124 per head for the 7 course) and wine starts at £50 a bottle. They do a 5 course too and and a la carte which would be less expensive.
However, for that absolutely WOW factor special occasion that you would do very rarely I would highly recommend it and you did feel you got what you paid for.
An amazingly enjoyable experience and one that will remain embedded in our memory to mark our special day.

“Dinner”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

We started the evening with some drinks in the bar and then moved into the conservatory, there were 4 of us. We all picked the 5 course set menu which was nice but didn't have the wow factor I was expecting, we all had coffee which wasn't particularly hot so I returned mine and was questioned by the waiter, he then placed it with another warm coffee! The coffee came with a selection of chocolates but not enough for everyone which I thought was odd. We were not really impressed all round unfortunately.
