We did enjoy the meal – crispy duck was good, if a bit mean on the accompaniments – cucumber/spring onion and pancakes, but they did provide iceberg lettuce leaves as a replacement for pancakes for the lovely L, coeliac sufferer … I've now decided that I prefer the lettuce option! We ordered one chicken dish (sweet and sour), one beef dish (black bean) and one prawn dish (spring onion and ginger) – all were ‘OK’ but quite unremarkable; egg fried rice and a small portion of crispy 'seaweed' were also OK – but then so is the stuff we get from the local take-away. Nice bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, 2 coffees and a jasmine tea – just over 80 quid the lot. We've had better for a lot less, we've also had a lot worse.
