Stayed here on Easter weekend 2014 for a weeding we were attending with our 3 year old twins. Nice enough place for a wedding BUT be very careful when booking especially if you are travelling with young children. We booked one of the family rooms in the newer building block. Room OK - Z bed and a sofa bed for the kids. Location of the room NOT OK. A family room directly above the function room holding another wedding that evening. Disco started at 9.00pm and went on booming until 1 am and you could hear every lyric of every song and feel the bass thundering through the floor. I made two complaints to the duty manager and to be fair he did get the music turned down to just above an annoying level. Needless to say we didn't have a good night. The function room in the new building does not have any noise limiters or any attempt to accoutically contain the sound, guess this is down to the DJ. The hotel booking policy was to site wedding guests above or close to the function rooms assuming that they would be partying hard all night and are least likely to complain. We were not told about this when booking and it would have been impossible for us to change rooms. If you plan on taking young children to a family event here be very, very specific on which room you want and stay away from the first floor.
Numerous half baked apologises from the duty managers really doesn't compensate for a terrible nights sleep considering the price we paid.
Breakfast was OK, but nothing special - bread and toaster quality questionable. High chairs were available but be prepared to wait for a while before someone can be bothered to hunt them down. Bar was expensive.

We booked the rose afternoon tea spa day as part of my hen do. We arrived in the morning and were greeted by the very friendly staff and taken to the spa. We were given all our information, robes and towels. We then went to the indoor pool and jacuzzi area which was lovely and very quiet too, they were both lovely and very relaxing.

We then went to the refreshment room which was nice to relax with a cup of tea and read some magazines. We next went to the spa treatment area to have our strawberries and cream salt scrub and full body massage. The massage was very relaxing however when speaking to my friends who had the same treatment they had some extras that I didn't have such as warm bags over eyes, which isn't a huge issue however to have the same treatment and hear that we had different things is a bit strange, as I felt I missed out on little extras with my treatment.

The outdoor whirlpool was very relaxing, even with it being a tad chilly outside the water was so lovely and warm it didn't matter. The afternoon tea was very nice and the staff were more than helpful, one member of staff even offered to take our picture whilst having our tea which we thought was very kind.

The tranquility room was also a lovely place to relax however the walls must be very thin as when we were lying down we could hear either guests or staff talking very loudly either upstairs or next door and that did hamper the ability to relax as it was very noisy and you could hear every word.

All in all this hotel is very nice and I would definitely recommend it for a spa day. There were a few little niggles but not huge issues. You certainly do get what you pay for.

We have just got back from a day/night at this hotel.I booked this with secret escapes. The room we were given had a beautiful view of the golf course. However the positioning of the TV was ridiculous set on the side of the far wall. There we no coffee/ tea making facilities which I found odd seeing this is a 4 star hotel. The food in the brassiere was really good and the staff were friendly. The outside pool look great. The breakfast was ok nothing to shout about, they serve you the coffee one cup, they never asked asked agin if we wanted another. I had a good deal two for the price of one, I' m not sure I would pay full price for this hotel it needs sprucing up a bit id give it a 7 out of 10

Initial impressions, looks lovely.
But the hotel has multiple buildings so we were in a block near the main building. Which would be a nuisance if it rained.
Hotel full with weddings.
Good things - the pool was nice.
We were in a small room but got moved to one with a decent sized bed.
Meal in the bistro was okay but pricey for the quality of cooking.
Grounds are lovely.
Kids okay area - a dilapidated afterthought.
And that's about it. It's fine. I'd stay there again. But it misses out on the 4 star quality , mainly due to staff who are a little under trained.
Oh and the breakfast, I thought it was okay, some of our party were put off by the poor quality bread and the rubbish toaster provided. Little things like cheap bread, why cut corners? Is pay extra for a nice slice of bread.

I booked the cocktails and crystals package for 10 for my nieces hen party. From the moment I made the booking, nothing was too much trouble. Every request was dealt with. Our hen knew nothing about what was arranged. Our cocktail making session was renamed a Shakespearean lecture and this was kept up until we made it into the bar by all the staff! The cocktail class was fun, all the food was scrummy and the spa facilities were excellent with plenty of space for groups to congregate without annoying people looking for peace and quiet. We're just looking for an excuse to go again!

Stayed from Friday to Sunday and had a package with a massage and manicure which were booked before we arrived. It was lovely and quiet on the Friday. The pools were lovely and great having them all to ourselves! Had a hot stone massage which was good but wish it was longer. Our package also included all our food. The dinner in the brasserie on Friday night was really good as was our other dinner in the other restaurant on Saturday night. In fact all the meals were lovely and we defiantly are far too much! It was very busy on Saturday and out only regret was not booking other treatments before arriving as it was fully booked when we got there. The room was nice and comfortable, everything we needed. All in all a very nice spa break.

We stayed one night in this hotel for a company dinner and dance. The location is absolutely beautiful close to the Tudor type town Henley-in-Arden. The view from our room was lovely over ponds with ducks and other wildlife.

The room was an adequate size with most of the usual facilities one would expect of a hotel of this size and rating. The bed, however, was extremely small for a double and there was barely room for the two of us. It was also rather 'Mummy Bear's bed' being soft and bouncy. The linen was clean and the pillows were comfortable.

The bathroom was a good size but the bath/shower was absolutely lethal for climbing in and slipping - and there was also no magnifying mirror that one has come to expect these days.

The towels were white and fluffy and there was tea/coffee making facilities but no fridge and no hooks for outdoor coats.

Every word could be heard of anyone coming along the corridor even when they were clearly whispering.

The meal we had was mass produced but I thought it was 'nothing special' being a salmon fishcake (or carrot soup) and fillet of pork or roast butternut squash. Mercifully I was able to ask for and receive chicken.
The chocolate tart was very sickly.

That is one of the worst dinner dance meals I've ever had. There weren't enough biscuits or indeed cheese to go round the whole table and we had to ask for more twice. At least they brought them.

The staff were all extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was served in the main building across a courtyard (tricky if raining)

Would I recommend it? Probably not. The location is fabulous but it doesn't quite match up to the 4* standards I've received in other hotels of its type.

Room Tip: Ask if they have any with king size beds!
